Lex soon finished his meal and looked at Lila with a smile as he spoke. ''Mother, I'm going to see Eve and Ayla. They live close to each other, so it makes things easier.''

When the older white-haired woman heard this, she replied as she stood up and took the empty dishes. ''Of course. The two girls have become close friends since you vanished. They are close to becoming amateur Runners like you and Silika.''

He nodded before grabbing Midnight, curling up on a sofa. The little black cat meowed before showering him in affection.

After her loving display, Gavriel laughed before commenting. ''Boy, that cat loves you. She won't let anyone else touch her.''

Lex chuckled before stroking Midnight's chin, causing the cat to purr. He then left the mansion and looked at the paper Tila gave him.

It said Eve's house was ten minutes away while Ayla's was fifteen minutes away. With a shrug, he went to the pink-haired girl's place.
