No Work Arrangements Tonight

Wen Ning was dragged into the CEO's office by Yan Heng.

"Sit down!"

Yan Heng did not let Wen Ning sit at her desk. Instead, he pulled her to sit on the sofa in the rest area.

"What are you doing? Didn't you ask me to continue working?" Wen Ning pointed at the documents on the desk.

Yan Heng ignored Wen Ning. He turned around and took out a medicine box from a cabinet. He took out gauze and medicine to clean the wound and said to Wen Ning, "Don't move!"

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Wen Ning said, "Are you going to change my dressing? Thank you, but it's okay. It's just a minor injury."

"Don't move!" Yan Heng pushed Wen Ning down in a domineering way before gently tearing the bandage on Wen Ning's forehead.

Just as Wen Ning had said, there was only a small wound on her forehead. Besides, it had already been treated yesterday and she was no longer bleeding.

However, the same gauze had been used for the whole night, so the wound was slightly swollen.

Yan Heng helped Wen Ning to clean up again and put on a new bandage.

"It's done!" Yan Heng heaved a sigh of relief.

It seemed that he would only feel at ease after confirming that the injury on Wen Ning's forehead was not serious.

Due to their proximity, the two of them could feel each other's breathing.

Yan Heng could not help but recall how she tasted last night.

He lowered his head and looked at Wen Ning again, only to realize that she had already turned red and looked extremely adorable.

Yan Heng let go of Wen Ning and looked towards the door.

It was He Mulan! She looked furious.

He Mulan pointed at Wen Ning and said, "Why can't I come? I'd like to ask you, what were you doing just now?"

"Can't you tell what we were doing? She's injured. I'm treating her wound!"

He Mulan finally noticed the bandage on Wen Ning's forehead. She immediately put on a doubtful expression and asked, "Really?"

Wen Ning felt like a clown.

She stood up and said to Yan Heng, "Do you need me to leave? I can go to the conference room to handle these documents."

"No need!" Yan Heng looked at He Mulan and said impatiently, "Didn't I tell you not to disturb me during work hours? What do you want now?"

He Mulan saw the bandage on the side and believed Yan Heng's words.

"Father invited the mayor tonight. He wants you to attend, so I came to ask if you have any plans for tonight."

Yan Heng frowned and looked at Wen Ning. "Assistant Wen, did I ask President Chen out for dinner tonight?"

Wen Ning was stunned for a moment. "How would I know who you're meeting for a meal? "Although she was the CEO's assistant, she had been handling all sorts of documents for the past few days and has never taken part in arranging his schedule. She wondered if he had been asking for too much.

However, looking at Yan Heng's eyes, Wen Ning immediately understood that he was asking her to help him put on a show for He Mulan. It seemed that he did not want to attend He Mulan's family banquet.

Wen Ning smiled and then looked at Yan Heng seriously. "CEO Yan, you've gotten it wrong! You and Director Chen are meeting tomorrow night. You don't have any work arrangements tonight!"
