The group walked for another three minutes when they heard zombie noises ahead, Terry, Thobias and Julie began to retreat as Matthew and Bethany advanced toward the zombies.

Matthew then saw that three zombies were standing by the entrance to a grove on the campus. Then he stopped walking and turned to Bethany and said:

Bethany then tried to argue as she spoke:

"Let me try to fight them alone, I can do this."

Matthew then told her in a tone of command:

"I can let you be part of our group's combat squad, but I will not let you overestimate you combat power and put us all at risk."

"And Terry and Julie were told that they would both have to obey my commands, but that is not only for them. If you don't want to obey my commands you can withdraw from the group anytime you want."

Bethany then made a sad face as she replied:

"I just wish I could learn to fight them and prove that I know how to protect myself."

Matthew then said:

"It's not because I seem to fight easily against zombies that they're easy to deal. I almost died in their hand several times."

Bethany then shook her head sadly as she agreed to do what Matthew said.

Matthew then began to walk towards the zombies, although Matthew knew that he had been hard on her, he would not accept that anyone in his group overestimated his ability to fight and put everyone at risk.

When Matthew got within 10 meters of the zombies they finally noticed him and ran toward Matthew, Matthew stood in his fighting stance as he waited for the zombies to approach him. When they approached Matthew enough, Matthew threw his body to the left as he remained with the sword in the horizontal direction killing one of the zombies while the zombie's face was almost cut in half, the top half of the head was on the verge of falling, and then it began to gush out blood as if the person was watching a fountain spout upwards.

The surviving zombies immediately began to turn around, while they weren't afraid of what had just happened with their mate, they tried to hit Matthew again.

Matthew then waited again for a timely moment and then dodged to the right as he bent down and cut off a zombie's legs, the zombie's legs stayed behind as the zombie's top began to fly, Matthew then thought:

"Two finished, we'll get the last one to Bethany now, after she manages to kill the last zombie I come back and finish this one."

Matthew then started to race toward Bethany, with his speed higher than the zombie it was impossible for the zombie reach him, while both zombies ran after Matthew, one dragging with his arms and the other chasing after Matthew.

Matthew then reached Bethany as he spoke:

"Are you sure you want do it? Still give time to give up, I can't guarantee that I can save you when the fight starts."

Bethany then nodded as she spoke:

"Yes, that's my decision, I don't care what happens to me."

Matthew then sighed as he stepped away from Bethany so as not to disturb her during the fight and said as she left:

"At least get into a fighting posture, or you'll die before you even try to fight back."

Bethany then blushed and got into a fighting stance with the shield in her left hand and the short katana on her right as she bent slightly to resist the impact, then the remaining zombie leapt into the air as she tried to punch Bethany's face.
