The Royal Twist

"I called you out here because I want to know why you're against me and Herb getting...married" Lavinia admitted. "I never said that I was." Rose denied. "You didn't have to, every time that Herb and I were about to have a conversation you just shut it down" Lavinia said. "Do you really have no idea why?" Rose challenged. "Because you don't like me." Lavinia sighed. Suddenly, Lavinia found herself with her back against the column and Rose right in front of her holding her against it, Rose's face so close to her own that if she just leaned forward a tiny bit they would be...kissing. "Because you promised me that I was the one you were going to marry" Rose whispered into Lavinia's ear.

The People's Thoughts

Lavinia woke to the feeling of soft puffs of breath against her neck, and the warm lithe but toned body under her. She smiled at the sight of Rose's sleeping face. She gently kissed Rose's cheek and tried to get up without waking her up. Lavinia gasped in surprise as she was suddenly trapped underneath Rose's body.

"Let go of me you scoundrel" Lavinia poked Rose's biceps. Rose smirked "I am never letting you go" she declared. Lavinia gulped at the seriousness in Rose's eyes, as if she meant what she had said. Lavinia's mind wandered at the ways that Rose would never let her go...with rope? with handcuffs? with pleasure? All of the above? Either way, Lavinia wanted it.

"What are you so lost in thought about?" Rose asked "You...and the ways that you have planned to keep me here" Lavinia answered honestly. Rose's eyes darkened considerably at the prospect "don't tempt me you wench" "as if you're going to do anything about it" Lavinia scoffed, her eyes on the other hand begged "please, do something about it"

Rose loosened her hold on Lavinia and sighed "not until we're married"

"I was afraid of that" Lavinia smiled disappointedly.

"Are you sure that you want to get married today? So soon?" Rose asked hesitantly, looking rather unsure of herself.

"Absolutely." Lavinia said and kissed her gently as assurance that she was all in.

"So it has to be today? Are you sure that this isn't because of the honeymoon?" King Charming asked with a twinkle in his eye.

"Dad!" Lavinia blushed.

"With all due respect King Charming, I have loved your daughter from the first moment I laid eyes on her. The five years that I spent apart from her were the worst years of my life... I thought that I would never see her again, but now that I had the chance to be with her I decided to take it and waste no time at all...and to be perfectly candid, the honeymoon doesn't hurt either" Rose replied with a cheeky grin.

"Rose!" Lavinia exclaimed in embarrassment.

King Charming laughed delightedly "Let us prepare the ceremony at once!"

"Lavinia? You have agreed to marry me?" Prince Herb smiled, having just heard the king's booming voice.

Rose glared at him while Lavinia whispered in her ear "calm down, he has no knowledge of what transpired last night, I will tell him right now. Don't make a scene"

"Ah, this is awkward. I will excuse myself. Prince Herb. My dear daughters." King Charming winked and left the room as hurriedly as he could. Rose beamed at being called his "daughter" despite her not being his daughter in law yet.

"Prince Herb, I think that we can both agree that last night we were off to a rocky start..." Lavinia started, Prince Herb glared at Rose before smiling winningly at Lavinia, Rose rolled her eyes. "And after speaking with your sister we thought it best to go in a different direction..." Lavinia said.

"Meaning...?" Prince Herb asked, confused.

"What I meant was...uh...your sister and I - " "Oh for the the love of, come here" Rose said exasperatedly before pulling Lavinia towards her with a sharp tug and kissing her. Lavinia was shocked at first but reciprocated enthusiastically.

"What the fuck!" Prince Herb yelled. Rose made sure to be slow when pulling away from the breathless Lavinia. "Whatever is so wrong dear brother?" Rose asked mockingly. "You-you stole my bride!" He spluttered.

"I was never yours to begin with. Might I remind you Prince Herb that there was only talk of a POSSIBLE courtship, no promises were made." Lavinia said.

"The reason why we came here was to make a bond between you and I, not you and HER" Prince Herb raged with an accusatory finger pointed at his sister.

"Did you honestly think that last night went well?" Lavinia scoffed.

"It could've if Rose hadn't been there. It's always been like this ever since we were children. You keep choosing her over me!" Prince Herb yelled.

"Has it ever occurred to you that the reason might have been because you were never a choice in the first place?" Lavinia said in a chilled tone.

"Is that really how you feel?" Prince Herb asked in a hushed tone. Rose glanced at Lavinia, wondering what her answer would be.

"Always." Lavinia promised. She turned to Rose "Always."

"Guards! I need you to be alert and to take extra care of the castle today. The Princess is getting...getting married" Sir Geoff sniffed.

"Sir...are you crying?" One of the soldiers asked him.

Sir Geoff hastily wiped his tear away "yes, but this is no time for tears. We must do our duty first, for our loyalty is to the crown... and then we cry like men for the little girl who we all watched over...and we must accept that...she is gone and replaced by a mature young lady...somebody get us some tissues!" Sir Geoff commanded as tears ran down his cheeks, he looked around and saw his fellow soldiers sobbing and bawling their eyes out.

"Fairy Godmother! Fairy Godmother! We've been invited to Lavinia's wedding!" Peach yelled excitedly.

"Goodness, is she of age already? Just yesterday she was hopping on the lily pads with the frogs..." Blossom said, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Oh darling, she's still our little girl" Peach assured her, wiping Blossom's tears away with a leaf

"and soon enough we'll have another little girl" Peach said, patting Blossom's round stomach fondly.

"It won't be the same!" Blossom sobbed into the front of Peach's glittering dress.

"Fairies, get a hold of yourselves! We must leave immediately if we hope to bless their marriage" Fairy Godmother scolded them.

"I don't wanna bless their marriage! That horrible groom is taking our darling Lavinia away from us!" Blossom pouted stubbornly.

"Would it help if I told you that it's a bride?" Peach asked.

"No." Blossom frowned.

"For goodness sake Peach, call the other fairies and ask them to help you drag your wife if you have to. I will not be late to my goddaughter's wedding!"

"My dear Queen, you are as beautiful as the day I met you" Charming smiled as he wrapped his arms around Cinderella's waist.

"How would you know? You didn't even recognize me the second time we met. Did you find my shoe again?" Cinderella teased.

He chuckled and twirled her around before dipping her "I will always find your shoe, my love" he declared.

She slapped him on the arm "that doesn't even make sense. You shouldn't be called "Charming" you should be called "Harrasing". "

"You wound me so, but I would forgive you if you were to give me a kiss" Charming said, staring into Cinderella's eyes as he brought her knuckles closer to his lips and gently kissed them.

She rolled her eyes at him [but on the inside her heart was pounding] before finally kissing him. They settled into a hug, swaying back and forth.

"Our little girl is getting married." Cinderella murmured.

"That she is." Charming said.

Bittersweet tears rolled down their cheeks as they continued to hold each other, wishing only the best for their little girl.
