The Royal Lie: A Tale Of Passion & Pride

“Janet, I think you’re misunderstanding the relationship between your daughter and me. We’re not dating.” My mother gave us both a questioning expression. “If you two aren’t dating, then why did you spend the night together?” The kitchen fell silent, neither one of us knowing what to say. “Please don’t tell me you two are just fucking?” Leave it to mothers to make everything awkward. - Hannah Oba was a badass by any measure – royal, rich and incredibly sexy. With an ice heart and sassy attitude, the rebellious princess had mastered the art of not giving a damn. Getting a job at one of the world’s largest corporations, she never imagined she’d get entangled with her boss’s adopted son, Park-Lee Junghwan. Junghwan was everything she hated – charming, kind and a ray of sunshine. With his puppy-like personality and sparkling eyes, something about the raven-haired boy just rubbed her the wrong way. However, when she accidentally spends a night with him, things quickly get complicated. Having no choice, Hannah is forced into a fake relationship with the one person she despises. But the line between the truth and deception becomes blurred when the demons of her past come knocking. Someone wants her dead, and they will stop at nothing to make it happen. Now everything she’s ever cared for is at risk, including the starry-eyed man with secrets pretending to be her lover. Can they overcome their enemies and escape her dark past? Or will they both discover that love is always a losing game? NOTE: This is a SHORT STORY of only 30 chapters. So if you're looking for a quick but captivating romance then this is just for you. All I See Is You

Hannah's POV

And before I could react, he pushed me.

Everything happened so fast, I didn't even have time to scream. Falling forward, unparalleled fear gripped me as my body succumbed to the laws of gravity. However, the plummet to my death was interrupted by hands grabbing my shoulders, causing me to end up leaning at a dangerous angle from the building with my legs still planted on the roof.

Basically, I was dangling at a forty-five-degree angle from a multiple-storey building.

Petrified, I let out a blood-curdling scream as I looked down at the tiny cars and people in the parking lot, all scrambling away due to the fire alarm. Lasisi let out a maniacal laugh, amused by my terror.

"Not so tough now, are we?" he mocked, shaking me in a bid to terrify me. Unfortunately, it worked as I let out another piercing scream.
