Legend has it that the gods left the earth after blessing families with gifts. Some were born with the gift of life, others with the curse of death.

The life magicians were divided into four groups. The Corvenius, the healers, could cure all diseases known to man. The Ambrosieus, the Charmers, can bend all creatures to their will and change shape at will. The Tarkilian, the Bliss Casters, can cast all sorts of spells, from teleportation to water and air control. Finally, the most powerful of all, the Lucreus, the users of light. No one really knows the extent of their powers.

The death mages were divided into 3 groups. The Venomius, poisoners, can cause all sorts of diseases and create deadly poisons. The Malvolius, curse casters, could cast all sorts of curses and use fire and earth control. Finally, the most powerful of all, the Tenebros, the users of darkness.

For a long time, the mages of death and life fought for supremacy. Only 1000 years ago, peace was sealed by the marriage of Lucia, daughter of the Winstors, leader of the Lucreus, and Devorak, son of the Laginis, leader of the Tenebros.
