4 Chapter 4: Threaten The Old Madam

The two girls arrived at the main hall. The servants saw them and snorted at them. Seeing them, Bai Xifeng chose to ignore them. The servants who sneered at them prevented her from entering the main hall even though she wanted to.

"What? Why are you girls stopping me?" Bai Xifeng asked.

"Old madam says you must wait here until being called by her." One of the servants answered. Her tone was full of disrespect.

"Oh, I see. Then you should inform me after she calls me." Bai Xifeng said and stepped out to leave the area.

"Wait. Where are you going?" The servant asked in a panic when she saw Bai Xifeng trying to leave the area.

"Going back to my courtyard then." Bai Xifeng answered with a smile.

The servants were frustrated. They wanted to play a trick on Bai Xifeng by making her wait outside the main hall. That was why they were panicking when they saw Bai Xifeng leaving the area.

"Wait here, I will inform Old Madam about you." Eventually, the servant gave up the idea of playing the trick on Bai Xifeng afraid that she would talk about that since Bai Xifeng was a fool.

Bai Xifeng waited for a moment. Well, if the servant that entered earlier to inform about her arrival did not come out shortly, she would force her way in.

Old Madam Bai felt weird when hearing Bai Xifeng address her as 'grandmother', without getting old Madam corrected her. Usually when Bai Xifeng addressed her as 'grandmother', Old Madam Bai would get angry with Bai Xifeng.

"Do you know why I have asked you to come here?" Old Madam Bai ignored the weird feeling and straight to the point why was she called Bai Xifeng.

"I don't know." Bai Xifeng answered innocently.

"You dare to beat Huiling and other daughters and dare to say you don't know?" Old Madam Bai slammed the table in front of her.

"Yeah, how dare you beat my daughter?" A woman said.

Bai Xifeng looked at the woman and started searching for the moment about the woman. 'Oh, this is the main wife of the son of Old Madam, Bai Guowei. Her name... Han Yunru. That Huiling should be her daughter.'

"They beat me first." Bai Xifeng told Old Madam Bai

"Mother, we should punish her to make sure she never does this again." Han Yunru said.

Bai Xifeng sighed. Looked like they called her here and just wanted to punish her because she was hurting their beloved daughters. Bai Xifeng lifted her skirt and showed her legs.

"What are you doing?" Old Madam Bai frowned when seeing Bai Xifeng doing so.

"I was showing you the bruises that existed on my body that came from today's beating." Bai Xifeng pointed to the bruises. "Look at what your Huiling did to me.

Since it was only this morning, the bruises looked very fresh. It was not only one but there were a lot of them. And also not to mention, the old scars also could be found.

Then Bai Xifeng also lifted her sleeves and showed the other bruises on her two hands.

Others were shocked by seeing this.

"What are you doing, Bai Xifeng?" Old Madam Bai asked in anger.

"Showing you that I also got beaten by them."

"Mother, we should punish her." Han Yunru said to Old Man Bai She wanted to vent her anger on this little bitch.

Han Yunru went silent when Old Madam Bai shouted at her. She knew her mother-in-law was angry because other madams from the capital saw the indifferent treatment toward the only daughter of Great General Bai. They would be talking about this to others making the Bai household bad.

"Is there anything else you want to talk about, Old Madam?" Bai Xifeng asked.

Old Madam Bai grabbed her skirt. 'This child seems different.'

"Oh, before I forget, Old Madam, please inform the kitchen staff that I want to eat the real food, not the shit. Don't let me inform my dad about this." Bai Xifeng smiled innocently but she was obviously threatening the Old Madam about this. Well, it was about food anyway. Not eating was a no-no. Not for a foodie like her.

Old Madam Bai understood the meaning behind her innocent tone. She would tell that this little bitch was threatening her. Reminding her that the honour that she got today was because of this little bitch's father. The son of the woman that she hated more than anyone else. She did not respond to that little bitch nor stop that little bitch from leaving the main hall.
