Chapter 14-Priorities

Mu Ning Xue over the past few months had quickly risen to the top of the year. Combined with her now mid tier level 4 ice and wind magic she was an unstoppable force earning the respect and envy of countless others.

She could tell how all the others were infactuated with her and she couldn't help but be a bit disgusted with their behavior. Whether they acted all gentlemanly or flirted with her openly they were all the same chasing her for her beautiful appearance.

She wanted to go visit her boyfriend, but she didn't want to bother him since she was sure he was busy increasing his strength just like she was her own.

When she went down to fight in the second match when normally she would distain to do, it was pretty much out of boredom and nothing much to do. Her team being surprised at her appearance is that she typically ignores most of the matters, and she was not expected to compete unless she thought a team would give her good completion.

When she saw Itachi all thoughts of keeping up her icy cold persona were immediately dropped as she jumped into his warm arms like a kitten returning home.

At this point all surroundings were forgotten as she immersed herself in the feeling she had missed for a couple months hugging Itachi tightly as only with him did she feel secure.

Mu Ning Xue wanted a rematch to see how strong he had gotten, but she didn't hold much hope considering she heard he had a literal dragon as a pet. She had heard he had defeated over 400 students by himself without even breaking a sweat which was quite a popular article with it labeling him one of the strongest prodigies of the new generation.

There was also that thing later where he was credited with saving over 4000 students from a warrior ranked parasite monster that had infected many people. It was Itachi who defeated it gaining a lot of praise from the hunter association.

During this time, Mu Ning Xue had gained alot of support from the main family and they had supplied her with alot of resources and supplies. She found out that each of the Mu family kids had a pieces of the ice bow inside of them that they could use to fight, and Mu Ning Xue had figured out a way to control her fully awakened Mu family heirloom ice bow to a degree that would make it come out with the same appearance and strength as the others which made the Mu family start nurturing her due to her incredible talent.

While Mu Ning Xue was absorbed in the moment, others had different thoughts.

Lu Zhenghe, Ming Cong, and Liao Mingxuan had similar thoughts looking ready to kill as they imagined all the different excuses they could use to 'accidentaly' kill Itachi during the festival.

Meanwhile Zhao Manyan, Ping Liang, Zheng Bianxiao, Mu Nujiao, and the rest of the team were in shock. They had always wondered why the strongest freshman never seemed to be interested in dating girls and now they found out why. 'with such a beauty who would need any other girl' Zhao manyan thought staring jealously at Itachi as he had his arms wrapped around that beauty.

"So thats why he never took interest in me" Mu Nu Jiao thought jealously, confused about why she would think about it that way.

Seperating Itachi looked back towards his team "well, I guess its time for a rematch"

Similarily Mu Ning Xue turned back to face her team "yeah, I would like to see how much stronger you have gotten. I won't lose so easily this time" she was indeed not exaggerating as her strength had grown at a tremendously fast rate.

This could be seen by both her elements being at the 4th tier that Itachi could sense which was amazing considering Itachi had a near 300% cultivation effect on his Lil Loach pendant boosting his cultivation, although he had to spread it out between 6 elements.

He could sense her elements were a lot stronger than they loooked so he was sure she had spirit seeds for both, or she had upgraded a few of her stars possibly unlocking novice magic level 4 for both her elements if she had upgraded 7 of her stars required to cast the novice magic.

Finally stepping onto the field Mu Ning Xue blew out a cold ice smear instantly shooting across the entire field with the ground covered in frost.

"Is this a domain" Song xia said shocked. Her flames were only common grade and they would be completely repressed by this strong ice ability. Shocked the rest of the team realised this beautiful girl had an Ice domain with a legendary Soul Grade with a domain effect almost never even seen in high tier mages. Who would think that it would advance this far? Itachi could also tell her low tier magic was a level higher giving her x2 stronger novice tier magic and that combined with her spirit seed made her a frightening opponent.

Immediately the two sides began attacking as Song Xia tried to burn an area without ice as Shen Mingxiao shot forward with wind trail trying to attack, but the frost held him back. Itachi found it quite funny when the opponent lightning mage tried to shoot novice level lightning strike at him which the purple arc quickly shooting over. Responding in kind Itachi similarly shot a novice level magic without his spirit seed and the result was as expected.

Itachi's novice magic upgraded twice by both minon souls and then warrior souls shot through the opponents magic forcing the struggling mage to cast Holy Light shield the intermediate light magic struggling to block his opponents magic as the whole shield shook cracks forming at the force of the blow.

Gasping a bit Ming Cong frantically shouted "This lightning mage is completely overpowered.

His novice tier alone almost broke through my intermediate level shield. We need to take him out first."

Itachi didn't know what the guy expected to happen. He didn't even have a spirit seed or any other upgrades, yet he thought his light shield was strong. Itachi didn't really attack again as his team was pushed back by the strong ice mage along with the other 3 who for the most part had very strong attack magic.

Liao Mingxuan on the Imperial side gave Itachi's team members a shock when he summoned a warrior rank wolf, but It really wasn't all that impressive. It was quite amusing to see the angry males on the other team focusing whole heartily on maiming Itachi who only dodged with his wind track seemingly bored with a carefree expression on his face that only pissed the others off more.

Those who knew Itachi was a fire and summon mage were shocked seeing the wind magic and lightning magic while Gu Ran the manager was surprised at the lightning element. 'Headmaster told me he had 3 elements, but maybe Itachi had hid his strength' as the smart man quickly hypothesized that maybe every level he awakened two elements since it was not possible Itachi was a high level mage.

Mu Ning Xue herself came to a similar conclusion since she already knew about him initially awakening two elements. 'This match is going to be harder than I thought' she quickly realised seeing Itachi had 4 elements to choose from while none of them seemed underdeveloped or neglected upon.

Deciding to eliminate his teammates first Itachi did nothing to stop her casting a destructive 4th tier tornado boosted by her spirtual grade seed. The entire arena shook as the magical barriers in place threatened to break at this destructive spell. Itachi's teammates were quickly thrown aside as their defenses were broken and Mu Nu Jiaos counter tornado spell was interrupted by the powerful move.

Itachi only sat rooted to the ground in place with his strong gravity magic holding him down while others thought he was using wind magic to deflect the move. Lu Zhenge, Ming Cong, and Liao Mingxiao stared excitedly at this since their chance to kill this scoundrel had finally come their limited minds ignoring how Itachi had just remained unaffected by their captains strongest wind magic. Liao MingXiao quickly commanded his summon wolf to attack while Itachi only coldly said "Extras should get off the stage"

Opening his draft summon, a brown and white fox over 6 meters tall jumped out with three long graceful swirling tails moving behind it. The previously brave warrior ranked spirit wolf shuddered in fright quickly kneeling on the ground since the commander had descended.

Warrior ranked beasts in front of Commanders were little more than ants waiting to be of service as it knew one slash of the Fox's beautiful long claws could end its life.

Felix had recently awakened with his strength now solidly at the commander level, while Kayda had yet to awaken. Itachi figured this was a good sign since he could feel an extreme level of energy inside Kayda that signaled she would have a great strength increase when she woke up.

As the trio of horny males stood their in shock the Fox dashed forward in the blink of an eye bringing one of its long tales shooting around clubbing them, so hard that sounds of bones shattering were heard throughout the arena as a cold voice rang out from Itachi who was now standing on the head of the Fox "and that was for having any ideas about my girlfriend".

males no longer dared to look at Mu Ning Xue afraid they would be next if Itachi caught them looking.

Xue'er only smiled at her overprotective boyfriend as it made her happy he was so concerned over her well being. Recalling Felix, Itachi stepped up looking lovingly at his girlfriend. "Now that those bothers are out of the way, we can finally enjoy our match" he said as Xue'er pouted a bit no matter how fast she seemed to cultivate he seemed to be a lot ahead of her and she knew she was not much of a match for that previous summon.

"You better not hold back too much" she said threateningly feeling more than a little self conscious that his strength was a lot greater than hers. Sensing her annoyance Itachi only shook his head before looking at her "Xue'er, no matter how strong I get in the future, you will be the only woman I love and I will always be here for you he said" Getting Awwww's from the women in the crowd and more glares from the males.

She began to tear up so Itachi brought her into his arms. She smiled gently "I know you will, I'm lucky to have you as a boyfriend"

"No I'm the lucky one" Itachi said stealing her lips again as the guys went wild.

Back at the side lines Zhao Manyan said disgruntedly "Why did this competition turn into a make-out session between the two captains" he said after still seeing them still kissing after 20 seconds.

On the other sidelines the Imperial coach Liu Yuming was similarily annoyed, but as a experienced suck up, he quickly put on a happy expression since there was no point in offending his talented student along with this other one who even had a commander ranked summon that even he as a high tier mage had no confidence to take on with the most likely result being his death.

Itachi whispered something into Xue'ers ear as she giggled loudly blushing a little which attracted a lot of attention from the crowd. They both turned to their respective coaches saying at the exact same time "I forfeit this match" Itachi then picked Xue'er bridal style as he quickly disappeared from the arena with wind track as everyone's brains in the arena struggled to make sense of this situation.

'Did they really just forfeit the competition for their schools prestige that 100's of people were watching to go make out and possibly more?' People thought staring in shock at the now empty arena. Many of the males jealously stared at the retreating couple once again of similar mindsets 'at least he has his priorities in order'

Recovering from his stupor Gu Ran cleverly shouted "Now I think we are quite aware that Mu Ning Xue was clearly the first to forfeit so therefore the Pearl Institute will win this competition" Immediately the enraged voice of the Imperial coach sounded shouting "Are you Pearl University dogs blind, stupid, or both because Your student was clearly the first to surrender so we win the competition."

Itachi already a decent distance away smiled hearing the commotion in the arena. Looking down on the gorgeous white haired beauty snugly fit in his arms he quickly made his way to the room of his dormitory. It had been awhile since he had seen her after all.
