7 The True Nature of the New World

Osiris slowly walked down the steps that lead to the basement, every step he took caused a creaking sound. Every second there would be the sound of a drop of water falling into a puddle. Sometimes, there would even be the squeaks of some mice. Whilst venturing down the staircase, Osiris's confidence fell with every sound he heard; the more he walked, the more he wanted to flee, but due to his values and rage; he marched onwards. Thus reaching the place where a door stood and a magic circle in which Osiris had to activate in order to pass. Osiris then placed the palm of his hand on the magic circle and slowly spoke the password that was written in the book.

"Gluttony, the strongest of the seven deadly sins; the more you feed it, the more it wants. It cannot be stopped."

The door slowly opened causing the sound of rocks rubbing against each other. Osiris walked past the door and made sure to not make any noise with his footsteps, after walking for 5 minutes he could see a red glowing light at the end. He cautiously approached, trying to hide from anyone who was in that room. As he got a clear view of the interior of the room his jaw dropped. There was an altar with a demonic symbol on it, ontop the altar there was a young girl tied up using ropes. There were 6 candles lit that caused a purple flame to arise on each candle. With all of this occurring, there wasn't only one person, there were hundreds! Osiris saw the Cult mistress next to the altar with a thin golden dagger. Osiris scanned the cult mistress and the results were overwhelming.

Cult Mistress:

As Osiris was overwhelmed by the sheer number of people and now the Cult mistress stats, he was too afraid to act. Then the Cult mistress screamed

"For the strongest sin, GLUTTONY!"

and the surrounded members responded in a chant,

"For the strongest sin, GLUTTONY!"

Then the Cult mistress slowly carved out the demonic sign on the girl's belly, causing blood and flesh to fly everywhere. Every second the girl was alive felt like another second in a living hell, she would prefer to die a quick and painless death rather than this slow torture. Osiris was feeling guilt and agony for not being able to help the girl. Then the Cult mistress chanted,

"For the strongest sin, GLUTTONY!"

And stabbed the center of the demonic sign, with the amount of blood the young girl has lost she should have died, but some kind of supernatural force was keeping her alive, causing her to suffer more pain. Tears slowly fell from her eyes, each tear causing ten more to fall out of Osiris's eyes. Then a demonic creature appeared, rising from underneath the altar and very slowly swallowing the girl alive. The creature then finally showed its true appearance; it was a giant, black, unidentifiable mass with a massive eye that instilled fear into anyone it looked at and had a giant, gaping mouth. Hundreds of teeth were lined up along the edge of the mouth, each tooth shined as the purple flame shone upon them, showing how sharp they are. As Osiris looked into the singular eye of the creature he was stunned, petrified! He felt a massive amount of pressure on his body that made him kneel on the ground with force, causing his knees to bleed. The creature wasn't even looking at him and it caused him so much pain. As he looked at the creature's line of sight he noticed that it was staring at the Cult Mistress. Then, the creature spoke in a deep rumbling voice,

"THIS IS NOT ENOUGH!"

It moved rapidly, swallowing the Cult mistress whole and then ground her up, like a meat mincer. Its insanely sharp teeth caused the Cult Misstress's body to be shredded into a million pieces over a fraction of a second. Then it swallowed tens of people at a time and slowly ground them up, enjoying the taste of human meat and satisfying its hunger. It proceeded to do the same with everyone else causing blood to paint the walls and guts to be littered all over the floor of the room. Then it seemed to turn towards Osiris and look him in the eye, Osiris stared right back showing that he would not back down but still in his kneeling posture. He kept gazing intently, causing him to feel the pressure increasing, it made him feel like his arms were about to be ripped off from his body. Then, finally, the pressure was lifted from Osiris's body and the creature proceeded to softly say

"You are worthy of my power, you will be the one who can control my gluttony. I wasn't always like this you know? I just wanted to find a place to reside in but people kept on disturbing me, making my gluttony awaken. Please, please find a way to help me..."

Then the creature slowly went to the altar and turned into a book and spoke telepathically

"I am not dangerous anymore, I have had my fill for a while"

Osiris then cautiously proceeded to inch towards the book on the altar, just before touching it he used his skill, "scan" on it.

The book of Gluttony:

A book granting mythical powers, these powers come with a curse though. If not fed often it will eat the user and run rampant for one week before calming down. It can be linked with one object or person upon contact.

Osiris thought carefully before performing this action. He took out his scythe (soul weapon) and placed it upon "The book of Gluttony". Then the scythe glowed in a deep shade of red before finally turning pitch black, then finally returning to its normal state. As he touched the scythe a system notification rung out,

<*Ding!* Automatically binding with the "Insatiable/Gluttonous Scythe">

<*Ding!* The host is falling into a 1-day coma due to the soul of the host being exhausted>

Right before he fell into the state of a coma he thought to himself

'This is the true nature of this world, the strong rule the weak and they can do whatever they want. The weak will be slaves and the strong will be the overlords, I will be the strong. I will be strong to protect myself, my loved ones and my friends. I will be strong to slaughter my enemies and anyone who stands in my way, I will be strong enough to change this rule.
