Chapter 7 In Danger

"Who are they, Grandma?" Aaron Liu tried to remain calm and not act rashly in the face of those people.

"I'm not sure who they are. You better be careful and not get hurt. Let me go out and face them all." Mrs. Jiang thought about facing them alone. She didn't want Aaron Liu to get hurt.

Before the car door was even open, Aaron tried to stop Mrs. Jiang. As a man, he couldn't let a woman face them alone. It would be uncomfortable if he stayed in the car without doing anything.

"Let me go out to face them, Grandma. Please stay in the car. They are very dangerous," Aaron Liu persuaded an old woman who happened to be sitting alone in the back seat.

"Be careful, Young man!" warned the woman before Aaron Liu exited the car. Simultaneously, Mrs. Jiang's expression changed, she looked worried and scared. She was concerned about jeopardizing the life of someone who always helped her in danger.

The man nodded slowly in response to understanding Mrs. Jiang's warning.

Vigilant and careful, Aaron Liu opened the door and exited the car. He was standing not far from a big tall man who looked fierce with his appearance. No matter if he would sacrifice himself, he would protect a woman who had been so good to him as much as possible.

"What business do you have stopping our car? Isn't this too much?" It wasn't a question for Aaron Liu but rather a tone of protest that he threw at several people already preparing to attack him.

"It's nothing to do with you, Asshole! Let the old lady out of the car!" the man shouted again insultingly. "Stay out of our business!" he warned.

Aaron Liu's laughter broke out instantly. He couldn't believe they deliberately wanted to deal with an old lady. Isn't it so ridiculous and also so embarrassing?

Unhappy with Aaron Liu's response, the man immediately stepped forward and pulled the shirt collar of the handsome man who was still laughing at them all. His anger broke out because he felt that he had been belittled by someone who should not be involved with them.

"Asshole! How dare you laugh at us!" the man raged without releasing his grip on the opponent's clothes.

"Not just belittling, you guys are so despicable for trying to Mrs. Jiang," Aaron Liu attacked without hesitation.

"Damn it!" The man shouted as he threw his hand toward Aaron Liu's face.

With quick and cautious movements, Aaron Liu dodged the punch and pushed the man so hard that he almost fell. If it weren't for his men holding the man's body, he would have tumbled to the street.

Aaron Liu, at all of them, cast an extremely intimidating glare. There was no hint of fear or anxiety about the dangerous situation.

Not accepting this, the men immediately grabbed Aaron Liu and gave him several blows simultaneously. Blindly and mercilessly.

Aaron Liu counterattacked them all as if he had just received power from the sky. He was throwing out every punch and powerful grip of his. In the blink of an eye, he beat them all back.

"Fools, how can you lose against such a weak man?" growled a man who had gotten hit back for the first time.

"Come forward and fight me one by one! Or all of you just come forward! I'll finish you all off." Aaron Liu's words were not to brag. He was deliberately provoking them to be afraid of his words.

Aaron Liu was not an invincible, strong man. That victory earlier was just sheer luck. Come to think of it, and he was nothing compared to those big tall mercenaries.

"Finish that arrogant man!" shouted one of them, probably the group's leader.

"Yes, Boss!" replied one of them, who immediately moved and kicked hard at Aaron Liu.

Some people immediately grabbed Aaron Liu's arms to prevent him from moving. Others threw punches at the handsome man, acting like an oversleeping hero.

With no mercy for him, they continued to rain down hard and possibly lethal blows on him. They were professionals who worked as bouncers to attack whoever their clients wanted.

"Stop it!" shouted Mrs. Jiang in a loud, angry voice. "How dare you gang up! Who sent you?" the old woman exclaimed.

"You've finally come out, Old Granny. I wonder if you'll let this handsome man die in our hands," snickered a man who smiled wryly at the old woman's appearance.

"Just say it. What do you want!" scolded Mrs. Jiang at all of them. It felt like too much small talk and a waste of time.

They all immediately let go of the battered Aaron Liu and turned to the vicinity of the older woman. Mrs. Jiang was their target, after all.

"Come with us, or we'll make this weak man lose his life!" the man said again.

"No, Grandma. I'd rather die than have Grandma's life in danger. Get back in the car and get out of here, Grandma!" barked Aaron Liu at the old woman who looked helpless in her disadvantageous position.

Although Mrs. Jiang was old, Aaron Liu was confident the older woman could still drive the car. He hoped that the old lady could leave safely.
