16 Chapter 16 Bad Meeting

Mrs. Jiang noticed two unfamiliar-looking cars in front of the main door of her mansion. The older woman frowned and then walked towards the main entrance.

"Come in and change your clothes first, Aaron! We have to go to the airport tomorrow morning." Mrs. Jiang coaxed a man who had been outside the house. The older woman didn't go inside right away and was talking to someone who also worked at the mansion.

"Alright, Grandma. Then I'll go in first." Aaron Liu rushed inside to change his clothes quickly.

As he passed by the living room, he saw that there were several people inside. Aaron Liu was a little surprised and also wondered in his heart. He was completely unaware of the guests who happened to be in the Jiang Family mansion.

All the pairs of eyes were looking at him strangely. They thought Aaron Liu didn't look like a Jiang Family member. It made the man uncomfortable, and he rushed straight to the room. However, someone tried to stop him without reaching the front of the room.

"Wait!" A female voice was heard stopping Aaron Liu's steps towards his room. The woman cast a sharp and curious gaze at a man who had just passed through the living room.

"Can I help you, Miss?" Without daring to look at the woman, Aaron Liu looked away and stood not far from the person who had just called out to him.

"Aren't you the poor man who crashed into my car earlier?" The woman asked with a bit of surprise and curiosity. "How did you end up in my house?" She asked again.

Aaron Liu was shocked to hear that question. He raised his head and looked at the beautiful woman before him. He didn't know what fate had in store for him, but he had to meet the arrogant woman he had met earlier that morning.

He couldn't believe the sight he had just seen. It was like a nightmare that had come true and was very frightening to him.

"Why would a poor man like you be in my house? Or perhaps you're the new driver here." The woman was very dismissive of the man who couldn't pay for the damage to the car he had hit. Fate was too funny, bringing them together in an unexpected place.

"I am .... " Aaron Liu was too confused to say his position in the house. He was curious to know if Mrs. Jiang had made a personal assistant.

Everyone immediately chuckled amusedly at Aaron Liu, who was so nervous. They thought he was too embarrassing to be in the Jiang Family mansion.

The commotion caught Mrs. Jiang's attention. The older woman finally went inside and checked the conditions in her house. She accidentally heard inappropriate words addressed to Aaron Liu. She immediately got angry and approached the beautiful woman who stood so haughtily before Aaron Liu.

"Stop that, Lily! How can your mouth be so low and disrespectful? Did Grandma ever teach you to be an uncivilized woman?" Mrs. Jiang growled at a beautiful woman who turned out to be her granddaughter. It was shocking to see the behaviour of her granddaughter, who was so disrespectful.

"Come on, Grandma. This man is just a poor man asking for mercy. Don't let him fool you with his good looks!" warned the beautiful woman to her grandmother.

"Jiang Lily! How dare you patronize grandma! Hurry up and apologize to Aaron!" exclaimed Mrs. Jiang to a beautiful woman still underestimating Aaron Liu.

Instantly, Jiang Lily's expression changed drastically. She couldn't possibly apologize in front of those few friends of hers. It would not be very comfortable if she did.

She didn't want to embarrass herself because of the poor guy who had hit her car this morning. Jiang Lily was too proud to apologize to a man who meant nothing to her.

"I'll never apologize, Grandma! This man hit the car I rented this morning and couldn't pay for the damages. Aren't I too kind to pay for it?" snapped Jiang Lily as she glanced at the handsome man not far from her.

"Apologize right now!" said Mrs. Jiang in a raised voice.

"No way, Grandma!" Jiang Lily shouted as she ran to her room. She didn't care if her grandmother would be angry by her behaviour.

Jiang Lily felt she had been humiliated in front of all her friends. She had lost face because of a man who had nothing to do with her family.

Mrs. Jiang noticed some of her granddaughter's friends. They looked awkward and also very scared to be in the house. Without wasting time, she asked them to leave immediately.

"You'd better go home. Lily won't be back to see you," Mrs. Jiang persuaded them to leave the mansion.

"Okay, Grandma. We'll go home now; regards to Lily." they said before leaving the mansion.

Aaron Liu looked at Mrs. Jiang guiltily. He felt that their relationship was not good because of him. It was too painful and weighed heavily on his heart.

"I'm sorry, Grandma. Because of me, Grandma and your granddaughter's relationship has gone bad," Aaron regretted with all the guilt.

"Don't dwell on that! You're not at fault at all. It looks like I'll have to teach my granddaughter a lesson." Mrs. Jiang immediately rushed to her granddaughter's room.

The older woman felt she had to teach Jiang Lily a lesson for her disrespectful behaviour towards Aaron Liu.
