LHASA

I'm not protesting, of course. Mikhail didn't smile back at me as I approached him as we prepared for Lhasa.

He has a strange temper. Sometimes he is very good to me. But the problem with work is he is very rigid, and there is almost no gap that I can use to talk to him. Somehow I feel like I'm facing two different people now.

"Have your equipment been checked? Don't be embarrassed to come back to London to pick up the cream you left behind." Now is he trying to provoke my emotions?

"Listen to me Mikhail, I've been on missions since I was 12 years old. From the Amazon jungle, to the middle of the Pacific Ocean, or to the North Pole I've been through. You think this NY girl is the kind of model who never gets in the mud?" Now I want him to be clear about who is in front of him.

"Now someone's showing off." He grimaced.

"Why are you so annoying sometimes?" I quickly walked with Aunt Aurora in front. I was leaving him in disgust.
