The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Check out my other novels - |Arpious of the Planes| |My Ares System| |Warlock of Wisdom: My Odin System| -- Same Universe - |Arpious of the Planes| ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3/21/25, in other words, it was March the 21st, 2025. Humanities technology advanced exponentially throughout the years. The only thing that they hadn't focused on for a while was space. The endless abyss that they call space was still unknown to them. Once they colonized their solar system, they thought it wasn't enough. They sent a search party out of their solar system but soon lost contact. Not long after, Earth lost contact with all of the other planets. Then a huge earthquake shook the earth itself and then portals opened up around the world. Soon monsters came out ravaging and flattening cities. Only a brave group of humans entered the portals which they then found multiple discoveries on the other side. They found stones that gave them different abilities and monsters a different world with a boss that lets them exit the portal, which was soon called dungeons. Those 6 friends were then later on called the 6 Primordial Braves. With the news of this, countries all over the world sent in people to retrieve stones, and then they would crush them, granting them abilities. They would then go back in to retrieve more and hand them out to the public. 500 years passed... This isn't the story of a hero. It's the story of a weak girl who was ridiculed and bullied every day because of her low status. And due to her cowardly nature, she was unable to fight back, making more people pick on her. While she was laying in an alleyway, with bruises and cuts all over her body, she saw a green, semi-see-through panel that appeared in front of her. It was like a notification you would see in the VR games from 400 years back. The green panel had a black text that said... [Would you like to become an Ancient Being?] ------------------------------------------------------------------- !Spoiler Below! . . . At the beginning of the novel, there will be a lot of going back and forth between the MC's personality. Plus, most of the problems, in the beginning, will be centered around herself. Also, at the beginning of the novel, there is an act of short and sweet revenge that lingers just a bit longer through the story, but this novel is not revenge-based. The Yuri aspect won't be as heavily used compared to my first novel. The girlfriend is mainly used to help the MC get through the mental box and distorted feelings that the MC has to suffer through at the beginning of the novel. You might dislike the characters that I made Lucy's friends, but I promise you'll change your mind later on. I think... Okay, that should be it! Phew... that was tiring. Time to drink my fourth cup of coffee today... ------------------------------------------------------------------- 500 Power Stones by the weekend = 1 extra chapter 750 Power Stones by the weekend = 2 extra chapters -- Twitter - @equuipwebnovel Discord - equuip#6686 -- paypal.me/AuthorEquuip Any money you send will help me hire people to create new covers for my novels. -- Cover is not mine. Snake Necromancy

I rested for another hour until my mana and stamina were fully recharged. I then stood up and reached into the inventory window that contained the items I just bought. I've confirmed most of my suspicions about the inventory and I can do both of the things I predicted.

For the item to enter my inventory, I have to hold it in my hand and then push it through the inventory window then release it. I can also hold it in my hand and then think of it going into my inventory. But I have to be holding the item, I can't look at something and then put it in my inventory, that would be way too overpowered.

As I reached into my inventory, I thought of the skill book and felt something appear in my grasp. I then pulled my hand out of the window and there it was in my hand.

[Would you like to use the Skill Book?]

"Yes,"

[Obtained the skill: Snake Necromancy]

The thick, brown, book disappeared and just like when I had first found out about [Weak Quetzalcoatl's Ancient Fire], I instantly knew how to use it. It was like I had another finger that I just haven't used for a while.

"[Snake Necromancy]," I muttered.

The cracking of bones could be heard from below me, causing me to stumble back a bit. The cracking and creaking could be heard getting closer as I backed up even farther.

CLICK CLICK CLICK

6 skeletons of a 4-foot long snake came slithering out of the snow. I could hear the rattling of their bones as they slithered towards me. 1 of them slithered up the sleeve of my hoodie, then proceeded to wrap around my tricep and bicep. Another one wrapped around my ankle, over my white leggings. The last 4 just stayed in place most likely awaiting my orders.

"You 4, split up and find the raid team that entered before me or finds the boss of this dungeon. If anything interferes, kill it," I ordered.

They all raised their upper body and nodded their head before splitting up in all 4 cardinal directions.

The one on my right arm and left ankle were too big so the one on my arm coiled down to my elbow, while the one on my ankle coiled up to right below my knee.

"They're cold," I mutter to myself.

I didn't know the full extent of this skill so I activated the skill again and surprisingly it worked. 6 more white skeletons of 4 feet snakes slithered out of the snow. I was able to activate the skill 2 more times before I ran out of mana.

I currently had 18 skeletal snakes in front of me awaiting my orders.

"Split up in all directions and notify me once you either find the raid team or the boss of this dungeon. If anything interferes, kill it," I order.

Instead of going in the 4 cardinal directions, they all filled in the space between them, making sure they found what I specified.

I laid back down on the tree behind me as I once again waited for my mana to recharged.

"If I tuck my knees into my hoodie I'm warm but that doesn't rid myself of the excruciating hunger," I complain again.

[Reward for reaching level 5 is… [Skill Book: Fiery Blood (Passive)]

"Huh… is this XP coming from the skeleton snakes? Can they do that…? That's the only probable explanation but I also got a reward for reaching level 5,"

Looking around, I found nothing so I checked my inventory and there was the skill book. I pulled it out and accepted the notification instantly.

I felt a warmth come from my heart and then proceeded to spread through my body. It was like somebody injected warm water into my veins. It was a nice feeling that made me realize my built-up fatigue. Even though I could recover my stamina by resting, I still had the mental fatigue that came with fighting for so long.

"*yawn* Maybe… I can… be… the first… human… to sleep… in a… dungeon…" I whisper before my head goes limp and hangs down.

"A signal," I mutter while jolting my head up from my nap.

It was like somebody raised their hand but instead of seeing it, I could feel them raise their hand inside my head.

"The raid team hasn't cleared the dungeon yet?"

As I slowly opened my eyes I saw what looked to be thousands of notifications that filled my eyesight. I filtered all of them and then read the most important one.

"That's satisfying to look at. Gaining more levels while sleeping, how broken is that," I chuckle to myself.

Remembering why I woke up, I jump up feeling refreshed and start running through the snow towards the direction of the signal. The slight cold that I felt from before was all gone and all I felt, was the same warmth that put me to sleep.

My muscles weren't as stiff anymore allowing me to run slightly faster than before. My increase in stamina allowed me to run much farther without having to catch my breath.

As I was running through the snow, I opened my inventory and pulled out the macuahuitl that I bought from before. It looked like a wooden, 3 foot long, flat club with 5 purplish-black razor blades on each side. The razor blades also went around the top making it look like a primitive chainsaw.

I swung it a couple of times on my way to the signal. It was a weird choice of weapon but I'll take what I can get for now. A weapon is much better than using magic during close combat situations.

After about 10 minutes of nonstop running, I felt the signal right in front of me. I stopped and looked down at the skeletal snake hiding behind a bush. It was currently watching something and once I saw what it was, I couldn't help but gasp at the sight.

In a massive clearing from all the trees, a huge 3-meter tall white wolf with pale blue eyes was chewing up the young master that I saw before. The rest of the raid team was splattered against trees and the ground. Some dungeon runners were chomped in half and some were missing chunks of their body. The government dungeon runners had also died which means I was free to do what I wanted.

I gulped at the same time the massive wolf gulped down the young master before licking its lips.

I sent a signal for all the bone snakes to come in my direction so I could have back up if something goes wrong. In only 5 minutes they arrived, peaking out of the snow. I then ordered them to surround the clearing as I walked out from behind the bushes.

The wolf snapped its head in my direction as we had a 3-second stare off. I extinguished all emotions while releasing my bloodlust. I could see the giant wolf flinch for a second before growling at me and beginning to circle me.

I had no idea how to use a sword so I was forced to learn during this fight. This might be a stupid idea, but it's now or never.

I got into a stance that I thought was right. Knees slightly bent while my sword was ready to swing. I also kindled some rainbow flames in my left hand because I wanted to make the first move.

Since it is the boss of the dungeon, it should have a lot of pride and think that most opponents fear it. I can take advantage of this by making the first move, displaying that I have no fear of it, this should anger it. With anger comes recklessness and it will try and kill me at all cost. Then multiple openings should present themselves to me.

Well, this is just my prediction and putting together what I've learned so far from fighting wolves and goblins.

As the white wolf hasn't made a move yet, I took the initiative by facing my palm in its direction and firing off a burst of rainbow flames. I was able to dodge it easily by jumping to the side. I waited for it to get angry but it seemed my prediction was wrong.

It still lunged at me but its movements were calm with the slightest bit of hesitation due to my bloodlust.

I rolled out of the way and swung at the side of its belly with my sword. It made a wound about 3 inches long but compared to its body size it was practically a paper cut.

The wolf raised its hind leg and kicked my stomach, sending me flying back. I started to tumble and roll on the powder snow before I slammed against a tree.

"No wonder the raid team couldn't kill this monster. If my stats hadn't jumped so much, I would've died from that one kick," I say while weakly standing up and holding my stomach.

Went for a run... feeling good...
