Centipede King

A/N - Lucy's needed XP for a level up has been changed from 25 to 100.

I took a relaxed stance with frostbite in my right hand and disappeared. I reappeared on top of one of the centipede's heads and sunk frostbite into it. The exoskeleton was hard, but it seems frostbite is stronger since it went through like a hot knife cutting butter.

The centipede struggled and flailed around, trying to throw me off but I kept the blade in until its body fell limp. The bloodlust that I tried to grasp wasn't much bigger than the wolf's bloodlust so I easily scooped it up and made it my own.

I backflipped off the centipede's head and dived towards another centipede's chin where I stabbed frostbite into it. It instantly died and I jumped out before I could be sandwich between the sand and its head.

After grasping its bloodlust, I then proceeded to slaughter the other hundreds of centipedes that got in my way. I received multiple injuries but none of them were life-threatening so I continued to kill and kill.

I almost lost myself in anger because of [Bloodthirsty Rage] but was barely able to suppress the wave of near unquenchable rage.

My ice crown didn't kill any of the centipedes but greatly slowed their movements. The closer I was to them, the slower they would become.

My rainbow fire was enough to blind the centipedes for a quick second but didn't do any significant damage since their exoskeletons were extremely sturdy.

There were only about 30 centipedes left until I felt the sand shift slightly again. I clicked my tongue thinking another army of centipedes were coming but, it was just one centipede. It rose out of the ground and blocked out the small rays of sunshine that leaked through the clouds.

It was completely white with yellow eyes that sent a shiver down my spine. It had 2 massive goat horns on its head with thousands of spikes all over its body. Saliva leaked from the side of its mouth and started to burn the sand below.

The centipedes all bowed their upper body towards the massive centipede and the first thing that came to mind was,

"King… king of the centipedes,"

Seeing my low mana and lowering health I decided to use the potions that I got from the systems shop.

Reaching in my inventory I continued to stare down the king and pulled out a vile of red and blue liquid. I drank both of them and licked my lips before taking my relaxed stance again.

"Just tastes like thick water,"

Most of my wounds started to close while my extreme exhaustion was lifted slightly. Before it felt like I was moving around, underwater while carrying 20-pound weights, but now I feel like I'm just moving underwater.

My mana was restored but my stamina hadn't recovered yet.

My eyes only grew colder as I let out a breath of cold mist from my mouth.

The centipede looked down and whipped its lower body right at me, displaying unimaginable flexibility for its size. I parried its massive body up and charged towards it. The centipede reacted by lunging its upper body towards me and trying to snip me in half with its massive pincers.

KEKEKEKE

The centipede made a sound of victory but I lifted my upper body a bit and dodged the pincers while jumping on top of them. I front flipped onto its head and stabbed frostbite into its exoskeleton.

TING

Frostbite got deflected and the vibration ran through my body like I just hit a baseball wrong. The centipede jerked its head, throwing me off but I landed on my two feet softly. The other centipedes made bloodthirsty sounds as they lunged towards me.

The first one lunged right towards me so I jumped up and did another jump after landing on its body. In the air, another one went straight for me which I did a summersault in the air to place my feet on its belly and dive straight down for the ground.

Another one came and I jumped off of that and this continued for a while until all of them were dead. I wasn't just bouncing in all directions, I was slowly cutting them with frostbite making them slow down and eventually freeze internally… slowly dying.

The king didn't make a move at all probably due to it being worried that it might kill its subjects.

Softer than I expected.

I walked down from the pile of centipede corpses while cracking my neck and fingers. The centipede lunged at me once again. I tried to plunge frostbite into it but failed every single time, I had no idea besides one that could potentially kill me.

"HUFF HUFF HUFF… Fuck it,"

The centipede lunged at me once again but instead of dodging, I dove right into its mouth. It shut its mouth closed causing the world around me to turn black. The saliva was already burning my skin but I needed to go farther.

I jumped down its esophagus which was more than wide enough for me to slip in. I could kill it now but I would be risking something that could make me stronger.

I screamed in pain as the acid was eating away at my skin and muscles but I plunged frostbite into the centipede's stomach and drank the stomach acid.

I haven't seen this type of dungeon before, but there is a poisonous gastric acid that is famous for creating amazing weapons and armor… The Nagas Gastric Acid.

It creates poison-resistant clothes that even the highest dungeon runners use. Wearing it not only protects you from poison externally but also protects you when you ingest it.

I drank the liquid that came from 4 holes in the stomach. It was green and smelled horrible with the taste being even worse. When it went down my throat it burned and without my previous experience with some much pain, I would've given up.

Finally, after I threw up multiple times trying to force it down…

Seeing the confirmation, I took out frostbite and started swinging it wildly. Frost was accumulating on the belly and I was knocked around in the stomach a few times before it went silent.

I decided to check my status later but already noticed some changes. My body wasn't being corroded by the stomach acid so it was a much easier time. I cut open the stomach and found myself at the rest of its organs.

I tried to cut my way out from the inside but failed miserably so I was forced to climb up the esophagus and out of its mouth… there was no way I was climbing out of its asshole.

As I pried its mouth open, I found myself back in the hot desert with a drizzle still raining down. I smelled myself and almost threw up the stomach acid before checking my status.

"Variant skills? That's interesting… I haven't noticed a change to this rain, maybe I need to use it again?"

I deactivate [Drizzle] and reactivate [Drizzle] again.

The same dark rain cloud hovered over me, but when it started to rain, I noticed it had a green tint to it. The drops didn't burn the sand, but when I took a piece of meat from my inventory and held it out, it started to corrode slowly.

I smiled and tested out my new [Lesser Quetzalcoatl's Ancient Fire] as well.

FWOOSH

I spit out a long rainbow flame that didn't do much. It was hard to tell if the acid did anything since my flames were already hot enough to turn sand into glass.

After practicing and cleaning myself, I appeared right in front of the portal. Since time goes faster in the dungeon, I could easily go home without any trouble.

I just changed my clothes into a t-shirt and cargo pants before leaving the vicinity.
