Chapter 13: Mana Circulation

It was two long days but Vaelorian learned something important and that made it worth his while. Li Han castigated the King which shocked everyone, and King Maximus had no choice but to quietly listen. In front of everyone King brought a book and gave it to Li Han who promised to personally teach everything to every one of them after mastering it.

Vaelorian moved to his hut in the shanties and saw Celia lying on the bed. She looked better but her mood was very sour and she didn't even glance at Vaelorian.

"I can teach you how to get strong. You won't need me then." Vaelorian offered as he observed Celia. 

She looked at her half-sibling, "Tell me,"

"I am about to teach you mana circulation. Listen carefully as I will only speak once. When you breathe in air, instead of breathing it right out you have to imagine that the mana is now a part of your body. The veins from which it flows are called Meridians, currently, they are closed in your body and because of that, the mana cannot flow properly. You just have to open the gates. You won't get it right but let me tell you that mana feels cool when it flows in your body, you just have to make sure that the cool feeling travels to every part of your body. Initially, it will take an hour but soon you will be able to do it in one second and before you know it, you will be circulating unconsciously. As for opening the meridians, you have to forcefully channel the mana. You might cough up blood but it is the fastest way. I suggest you sit in the lotus position. It's like this." He spoke and sat while crossing his legs.

"Tell me when you open the gates of your meridians, it might take you around one year but knowing how dedicated you are, it might be 8 months." He left the hut but suddenly stopped remembering something. 

He went back inside, "You might be pregnant with Remus's kid." Vaelorian looked at Celia who stared back at him.

"Close your eyes," Vaelorian pointed his finger at her stomach and adjusted it until he was sure it would hit the right spot. Celia still listened to her brother and had her eyes closed, suddenly she felt intense pain, and before she could loudly scream Vaelorian put his hand on her mouth. Blood was gushing out of her stomach. 

"Go and get treated. Tell everyone that a person wearing a fur coat did this to you. After I leave count to 10 and then scream as loud as you can." Vaelorian immediately left the hut and heard a loud scream and cries after some time.

'Time to meet mom now.' He thought and moved towards the west side of the shanties.

Meanwhile, Li Han walked toward the outskirts of the Aetherholm city. This was his first time going this deep into the shanties. He knocked on one of the gates of a hut and a middle-aged man opened the door. "What do you want?"

Li Han peeked inside and saw a naked young woman and immediately understood. "I am from Earth, I heard that people were murdered here and I am here to investigate."

The man's face immediately brightened. There was no entertainment in his life and all he did was procreate for 50 years! This was the first time he was a part of an investigation and naturally, he was very excited. He opened his door widely, "please come in!"

The woman yawned and observed the handsome guy as he made his way into the house. "Would you like to shag?" She asked running her finger down Li Han's dragon. 

He coughed and politely removed her hand, "can you tell me about the people who died?"

Before the woman could speak, the man immediately rushed over, "My name is Felix and she is May. I can tell you a lot!"

Li Han turned to Felix and nodded at him. "So basically a total of 5 people have died until now! The child was 15 years old and his name was Remus. The other two were couples, Greta and Leon and after their death another couple died and they were the parents of Remus!"

Li Han frowned as he heard Felix. "Remus's parents died one day after him?" 

"Yes! Eerie right? The most shocking is that Greta and Leon didn't even know Remus or his parents. And they were the most humble couple I have ever known. Greta always comforted me so I felt pretty bad." Felix spoke remembering his time with Greta.

"How did they die? Do you have any idea?"

"I heard that worms ate their brains and then their bodies. That's all I know"

"Alright thank you for your time." Li Han politely bowed and left the hut. He could hear moans right away. His eyebrows twitched and he made his way to the hut that was near the couple Greta and Leon's. He knocked a few times and an old lady opened the door.

"Hello, I am Li Han from Earth, I wanted to talk to you about the murder." He bowed. 

"You are late. I already told more than hundreds of you guys, get out and let me rest." She scolded and shut her door on his face. Li Han was speechless and he stood there for some time before sighing and walking to another hut.

"Damn, you people from Earth! You guys are living in luxury while we here are suffering! And this is OUR HOME. What do you think about that!?" Old Man screamed.

"I will take it up with King Maximus. Do not worry new homes are being created for you all. Can you please help me with the questions?"

"Get LOST!" He shut the door.

Li Han sighed and slowly walked towards the inner city. Hundreds were already on this quest and he had no motivation now. 'Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I will let you have this win whoever gonna get that intermediate spell.' He spoke to himself and went inside his mansion. 

The same day, near Celestal Haven.

A guy was sitting on a rock. He had found the identity of the murderer and was surprised. He had no plans to report him but instead, he wanted to make him into his ally! 

When he saw Li Han hogging all the attention he was glad. Li Han made himself known to his competitors meanwhile he laid low and got an intermediate spell! He had no plans to play hero because his goal was even bigger.

Once Vaelorian becomes his ally, he's going to manipulate the events through him. He understood that the system was amorphous. The stronger the personality the more precise quest the system would give! The spell he got was Ember Rain, an AOE spell and it was exactly what he desired.

His goal was to become the Demon King!
