1. Attack of the Wolf Nation

"All of them, the formation and attack of the wolves are from five sides!"

The five pointed-eared creatures looked at each other with the direction of the white-haired elf. But when they were focused on forming the formation, the tails of the fierce creatures attacked first until all five of them fell.

As they lay on the ground, the creatures disappeared, leaving behind a red brick-colored smoke.

"Damn! We lost their trail," said Carlos, the white-haired elf. Or can be called the elder in Ameru, a school where fairies hone their powers.

Isaura, who was still lying on the ground, quickly got up, ignoring the pain that was starting to spread throughout her body. "I won't let him get away like that!"

After saying that, she flew with the help of stepping on some trees there. Isaura's sudden departure invited stares from four pairs of eyes behind her.

"Isaura!" Darius shouted. But the girl seemed to have already moved out of his line of sight.

Behind the elf who had just shouted, there was Evelyn who seemed to be supporting Eliot as they approached. "She's always impulsive in making decisions. What if the creature attacks her?"

"You three, follow and find Isaura until you meet her. That wolf is not an ordinary wolf, he can hurt anyone who tries to harm him," said Carlos, the white-haired elf who was an elder in Ameru.

"Elder, Eliot is injured. We have to let him recover his strength first," objected Evelyn, remembering Eliot's condition which was not possible.

Eliot held his stomach with one hand, trying to speak. "I'm fine. Isaura's condition is more important now."

Elder Carlos looked at Eliot with hidden concern. "Are you sure you can go?"

Eliot nodded firmly.

"In that case, let's go. That witch can't go a day without causing trouble," muttered Darius in suppressed emotion. He flew ahead to follow Isaura.

Evelyn nodded obediently. After making sure Eliot could fly on his own, the fairy followed behind him. Making sure Eliot wouldn't get hurt along the way.

Watching them leave, Carlos put both of his hands behind his back. "I hope my worries don't come true."

On the other hand, Isaura, with all her strength, tried to chase after the red brick-colored smoke that transformed into the wolf. The girl attacked with her power but missed.

Feeling annoyed at being suddenly attacked, the smoke turned back into a wolf. The creature was larger than the wolves found in the human world. But it had three tails and fur the color of red bricks.

Without hesitation, the wolf moved its tail towards Isaura. But this time the girl managed to dodge. She opened her sword and injured one of the wolf's legs.

Being careless, Isaura didn't realize that the creature still had three other tails that unfortunately hit Isaura. Making her thrown into a tree before then falling to the ground.

The wolf disappeared and its smoke vanished into the abyss at the edge of the Mabiru forest. A dark abyss, and no one knows where it ends.

Isaura tried to sit up, but her strength was drained until she vomited blood. Darius, who arrived earlier, then approached Isaura. "Are you satisfied now?"

The girl looked up and found Darius now kneeling in front of her. "Sorry, Darius. I was just trying to stop him. We need to know why he attacked the Ameru school like that."

"Then did you get an answer?" Darius asked sarcastically. It got a shake of the head from Isaura, making Darius continue. "Besides this wound, what else did you get, Isaura? Do you think if you're hurt, we can find the whereabouts of that monster? Just one person injured could ruin the formation that Elder Carlos has worked so hard to build. Haven't you thought about that?"

"I was carried away by emotions so I couldn't think clearly." Isaura bowed her head. Not daring to look into Darius's red eyes that stared sharply at her.

"Couldn't think clearly? Since when do you like to think?"

Not long after that, Eliot arrived with Evelyn behind him. Eliot immediately approached Isaura. "You're hurt, Isaura."

"She's hurt because of her own actions. If only she had listened to the Elder's instructions to always solve problems together, she wouldn't have gotten that injury," said Darius fiercely. Meanwhile, Evelyn just stood there and looked at the three of them.

Eliot looked displeased at the long-haired elf. "We also won't be able to solve this problem if you keep treating Isaura like this."

The two elves exchanged sharp glances, each radiating an aura of hostility. Isaura, seeing the tension change, then spoke up. "We better return to the school. We also need to help heal the other fairies who were attacked by the wolves."

After making sure Isaura could stand up on her own, the four of them chose to return to the school.

Ameru is a place entirely consisting of a school area located at the edge of the fairy world. A place where immortal creatures hone their abilities.

Of all the beauty scattered throughout the fairy world, Ameru is the only place that limits the gifts of paradise.

While other parts offer eye-catching scenery, Ameru is just a floating land. Ameru is truly only land-shaped, except for the buildings on it used to accommodate all their students.

The founders of Ameru did not want to spoil their students with excessive blessings. They wanted all students who have ever studied at Ameru to become independent and able to survive in the worst conditions.

Meanwhile, on the other side, in a dark place without any light. A red brick-colored smoke was transforming into a figure of a man in red brick-colored clothes and long hair sitting under a large tree.

At that moment, a green smoke came before him. Slowly the smoke transformed into a figure of a man dressed in all black with long hair. "Did you lose?"

"I want to stop," whispered the figure, who was the three-tailed wolf prince, Xander.

Shortly after that, there was a loud laughter that sounded chilling to anyone who heard it. "You've started it, there's no turning back, prince."

"But you trapped me! The life essence of the wolf race is not at all in Ameru. They didn't steal it!" Xander was truly angry. If his body wasn't injured, he would have definitely attacked the figure in front of him.

"Why do you blame me? Didn't you offer yourself to ask for my help?"

Xander coughed, spitting out a lot of blood from his mouth. Not to mention his leg was hit by Isaura's sword. The gaze of his wolf eyes stared at the demon figure in front of him. "Sneaky! I must inform my people about this."

"No, Xander. I have another offer for you."

The man spat. "I won't cooperate with you again."

"Unfortunately, from the beginning, we didn't cooperate, Xander. I need you to trigger the war between the fairy race and the demons to start again."

"Why are you doing this?"

There was a moment of silence before the man responded again. "I am the Demon King, of course, I enjoy battles. Besides, I must obtain something most valuable that only exists in one of the students of Ameru."

Xander shook his head weakly. "I won't let you do that."

"Before you do anything, you must help me once again."

After saying that, the green smoke glowed all over Xander's body. Carrying the wolf prince to follow it to the deepest abyss leading to the demon world portal.

Ignoring Xander's continuous cries begging to be released from behind bars. "Let me go! Your plan won't succeed! The fairy and demon races have been at peace for a thousand years. They can't be at odds again."

"Just stay silent and watch how this game unfolds. Once I get Isaura's magic staff, I won't hold you any longer."

The time showed midnight. But Isaura had just finished making potions to heal the fairies who were attacked by wild creatures earlier. As the only witch in Ameru, Isaura often made potions and helped the healers in their work.

One thing had been bothering her since noon. Why did those creatures come to the Ameru region, which they had never entered before?

The girl in sapphire blue attire, sitting on the balcony railing with a sword in her right hand, looked up at the sky. "I don't know why those wolves came to attack us today?"

Isaura couldn't remember her birth clearly. All she remembered was when she first opened her eyes, she was in the forest with a sword and a red eagle by her side.

In her reverie, a long-haired elf in sky-blue attire came and stood beside her, gazing straight ahead. "You need to regain your strength, Isaura."

The girl was startled but managed to control herself. "I'm fine."

"I'm not asking about your condition. I'm telling you to regain your strength."

"Sorry, Darius."

The elf called Darius looked at Isaura, who was now bowing her head. "Sorry is not enough to heal your wounds, Isaura. Don't act like a child. If you get hurt, our formation will be disrupted. And after what happened this afternoon, I believe this is not the end but the beginning. So you have to make sure not to be a disruptor."

In Ameru, all students had their place according to the level of power they had mastered. Darius, Isaura, Eliot, and Evelyn were among the fastest in training their powers, and the four of them formed the most important formation here, the guard formation.

Darius and Isaura formed a team in the attack formation, while Eliot and Evelyn were in the defense formation. So whatever happened to Isaura, it was Darius's responsibility if he didn't want their team to be considered a failure and have to start over.

Without further ado, Darius sat in front of Isaura. "Sit properly, I will help in the healing process."

Actually, Isaura wanted to object, but her courage always vanished when faced with Darius. The elf always had a strong intimidating aura that made Isaura's courage wane.

Therefore, Isaura now did what Darius instructed. She sat cross-legged on the wide balcony railing, about 60 cm wide. Her eyes closed, and her hands clasped, one facing upwards while the other facing downwards.

Once Isaura was in position to receive his power, Darius began to move his hands and channel a blue light with white specks that immediately absorbed into Isaura's body.

She winced in pain from the wolf's tail attack earlier but tried to endure it. As someone born in the fairy world, this wasn't her first time getting injured like this.

A few moments later, Darius finished his treatment. He looked at Isaura, who slowly opened her eyes. "Elder Carlos warned us not to be reckless. I know our duty is to be attackers, but that doesn't mean you can go and attack alone."

"I was just thinking about how to capture that creature. All I could think about at that moment was why it suddenly attacked? Although the fairy and demon races have never made peace, currently, both sides are not involved in a war."

"But if you end up hurting it, it will be a new problem for Ameru." Darius's explanation silenced Isaura.

Although her intentions were good, she thought she could capture the creature and interrogate it. But what Darius said was not wrong. Perhaps Isaura still couldn't control her emotions.

Darius sighed and turned his face away. But his eyes narrowed when he saw a red light shining in the Mabiru ravine sky.

Without a word, the elf flew to a higher place to see the light more clearly. Isaura, seeing this, followed Darius.

Without asking, Isaura followed Darius's gaze. Her eyes widened as the strange light entered her sight. "Darius, now I'm really sure I've made a big mistake."

"We don't have time to dwell on your mistakes," he turned and looked at Isaura. "Ring the security bell. Tonight, we won't be able to sleep."
