The world around Shinon slowly came into focus as he regained consciousness. However, as soon as he opened his eyes, he was blinded.
It took him a while to adjust to the harsh, blaring light. But when he did, he found himself secured to a chair in a glaringly white room.
It was pristine, almost blinding, and seemed to have been designed to negate any potential use of Shinon's shadowsmith abilities. The room was so brilliantly lit that not even his own shadow could be found anywhere in the room.
The light was flooding in from the ceiling, the walls,s and even the floor. Not an inch of space was left for any shadow to be cast, which meant Shinon had no way of using shadowmancy in the room.
"What... is going on... here?" Shinon weakly mumbled.
His body felt strangely numb, as if he was given an anaesthetic or something. Even his mind felt hazy as he struggled to put the pieces together.
