“End”

The two were traveling from rooftop to rooftop, all the other monsters ravaging through the city.

"I saw her go this way, but it's hard to be sure."

Nico said, looking through his pockets before spotting his rings, suddenly stopping as did Malcolm. Nico raised his hand in the air, his ring of sound glowing.

He closed his eyes, listening every so carefully, well Malcolm watched in confusion. Through all the rampaging Nico could hear the subtle mutters of Reece.

"There."

He fired explosions from his hands, sending him flying off the rooftop and towards Reece's position at high speeds.

Reece shouted in freight upon Nico landed behind her, turning to him quickly as she's met with his glare. Malcolm launches down just behind him, adding to the intimidation.

"How the hell did you catch up to me.."

She asked, taking a step back as she was ready to avoid an attack, holding a tight grip on Nico's sword.

"Just give me my sword back.. You're not actually gaining anything from doing this all."

Nico yanked the sword from Reece, she put on a good fight for it but in the end he got it back.

"You see, Morell's mentally fucked, yes, but she's not unsavable.. There's people that can fix her.. Please, believe me."

He placed his hand on her shoulder, as sheflinched back slightly. She looked down, thinking hard about this, before reaching to her pocket, and throwing her gun away.

"I..-"

Just before she could get a word out, a sudden explosion was heard. The three looked up as buildings were falling to the ground.

Two auras formed in the air against eachother, one a dark purple, and one crimson, the auras firing energy everywhere.

"That's.. Morell and Uvie..!"

Nico and Reece's eyes widened as they began chasing forth to the scene, traversing through the crowds of monsters, as Malcolm then picked them up, dashing through them all.

"Why are they fighting..!? They seemed pretty close before.."

Nico said, aa they arrived, Morell and Uvie in the air delivering high power attacks with their rings. Nico's own ring glowed as he increased the sound of his voice.

"Morell, what are you doing!?!?!"

He shouted out loudly, Morell noticing this as she looked down to Nico, though this only distracted her as Uvie then launched her through a building.

Nico began launching to Morell with his explosions, helping her get up as she gritted her teeth.

"Uvie's not exactly happy with all the destruction lately.. I think her ring's messing with her brain.. Not like me being possessed, but her actual brain altered.."

Nico sighed, looking up at Uvie as the two were nearly instantly barraged with an array of crimson vines.

Morell stepped in front of Nico as she countered by punching forth, portal forming as a giant demonic hand shot forth, extending past all the vines before slamming into Uvie, Nico watching in surprise.

"That sword of yours.. It's only a tiny fraction of this ability's true power."

More hands seperated out of the original, chasing after Uvie as they grabbed her by her limbs, trying to pull her apart.

Uvie screamed before transforming her own body, becominf a disturbing blob of crimson as she escaped the grasp and fell to the surface.

Morell quickly slammed the hands onto Uvie, keeping her restrained for the time as she looked ad Nico, Reece and Malcolm just arriving.

"Ahh.. Reece, taking Nico and.. your new friend to Evan's labratory.. This city, this world's done for.. finished.. He's found a way to go to Nico's world but he needs the sword."

Nico nodded, Reece surprised by Morell's idea as she breathed heavily, clenching her fists but nodded as well after a moment.

"Okay… Promise me you'll make it."

Morell nodded with a smile, Malcolm picking Nico and Reece up as Reece began pointing the way, Malcolm running in said direction.

"I'm sorry your world had to end this way.. But I guess this world really is on it's last life.. It's for the better, you'll enjoy my world."

Nico said, rubbing Reece's back as she stayed silent, her face blank as she looked around at the city's destruction.

"We we're so close too.."

She said quietly.

They arrived at the labratory, the two hopping off Malcolm's shoulders as the three all quickly ran inside.

Everyone was waiting there, even Kafka's still resting body as Reece rushed to Evan. Nico doing the same as he handed him the sword.

"You really think this'll work..!?"

Evan nodded, pressing buttons and tweaking with things, as Bennett and Kiara were handing him tools and parts.

"Yes.. But there's one issue… I'm not coming with you."

Reece's eyes widened as she put her hands on his shoulders, yelling at him.

"What do you mean..!?!?!?"

Bennett pulled reece off of him, as Evan sighed, looking down to the floor.

"Someone needs to keep the portal open, that's my job. I'll be fine, really."

Reece's eyes teared up as she struggled from Bennett's grasp, looking down to the floor as well. Kiara came to them.

"The portal's finished.. Are you guys ready..?"

Evan looked back straight, nodding as he walked to the portal, activating it's portal mode as he slashed into the center.

The portal formed as it took shape of the machine, the street of Nico's world seen as Nico and Kiara smiled.

"We're really going home.. God, I wonder what's going on there.. Are they still searching for me..?"

The group approached the portal, besides Evan as he tilted his hat over his eyes, holding down the power switch.

"I guess this is farewell.. Morell should arrive soon, so be patient.."

Evan looked at them all with a fake smile, the group having mixed emotions as suddenly more explosions were heard, surprising everyone.

Morell rushed down into the lab, looking back as crimson vines and tendrils were entering with her. She quickly rushed to them as their eyes widened to the sight.

"Quick, go..!!!"

They all began rushing to the portal, as suddenly Die Shukketsu came as well, somehow alive from his earlier injuries. They all ran into the portal.

"W-Wait..!!"

Evan raised his hands, accidentally letting go of the power switch as he ran towards the portal. Everyone else made it to the portal, except for him, the portal exploding just before he made it.

The group all landed in Nico's world, but it wasn't in the street as shown, instead in some sort of field, the area surrounded by prison fences.

Die madeit just a second late, his body split in half from the portal closing.

"This isn't the right place.."

Nico said, standing up as he looked around. Suddenly a group of armed, and heavily armoured men approached, guns pointed to them all as they raised their hands. One of the men spoke into their walkie talkie.

"We've secured the foreign beings, over."

Through the group, a woman then walked forth, her hands behind her back as she dressed as a commander would, a grin on her face as she glared to them.

"Welcome, new subjects…"
