In these 3 years, Rio has been focusing on farming his EXP and gathering funds by selling potions and runic weapons, naturally, he made a different identity to make sure no attention excessive attention came to him

So Rio used his "master" to provide the auction house with potions and a different identity as an accomplished Artificer to auction off his weapons, which cause quite the uproar everywhere, bringing in powerful and influential people from their territory to Solia City

In the first year of the remaining three years, Rio opened his root meridian as the 2nd stage mage master which strengthened his body to an unbelievable margin, after two more-year Rio finally ranked up to the 3rd stage mage master and finally unlocked his Psych Meridian, making him be able to enter now and control his consciousness.

In the third year, it was said that the High Elder and academy leader also managed to break through to the Magus Realm, however, it seems the sect leader was injured in the process of going through the tribulation, making him have a disadvantage when facing against the High elder

Rio didn't care since he joined the academy leader's faction due to the rewards given and the enmity between him and Xander, Rio knew that for now, he was safe due to the tournament being right around the corner and due to his title being the direct disciple of the only Accomplished Alchemy elder of the academy, Elder Asis, Due to his alchemy skills, he managed to get the attention of Elder Asis and made him a direct disciple, instead of an ordinary disciple, making him basically untouchable

If the academy leader fell, he definitely wasn't going down with him, so he got himself a sturdy and strong umbrella that could protect him until he was strong enough to leave the academy,

Just like that, Rio ignored the threat and looked back at his stat.

In the tournament, he was anticipating his strength because it has been a while since he fought someone human, the last person he fought, he killed when he was a 2nd Rank Mage, so he wanted to properly test his combat strength against someone his realm

He also started researching the most efficient ways to break through and the requirements needed, he had to gather a lot of things and it didn't seem obtainable where he was, he needed two foundational runes and a way to absorb spirit energy instead of mana, that was practically it.

Rio has also put the Dual mind rune to use and created a second consciousness, Rio thought of an interesting theory, but still had to put it to the test, theory and practical should be already known to not work 100% of the time.

He planned to use two foundation runes, one in each consciousness, Elves didn't need to use runes to break through to the Magus realm due to their infinity to nature, so they naturally absorb the required energy when their body feel like it's ready, that also why using elves cultivation technique doesn't really work for human, it was just that the Mother Nature's Cultivation was at a very high level, that also using it made it less efficient, it was better than the cultivation technique Rio knew

So even though there seems to be no record of it happening, Rio couldn't help but anticipate what would happen if it did work, he would have to foundation rune, wouldn't that make him twice as powerful as other early-stage Magus?

Would he have the power of a middle-stage Magus even though he was at the early stage, Rio couldn't help but anticipate, but he knew that it would take at least a couple of years to break through to the early-stage Magus

He could be called a prodigy, nearly every elder wanted him as a direct disciple, being a 3rd Rank Mage Master at 19. Although he wasn't the only one in the academy, there was even one a year older than him, the normal age of a normal genius reaching this stage would be around 25-30 years old, but he managed to get to this stage at age of 19, so naturally, the elder's wanted to get him as much as possible, bribing him with recourses and such, but Rio didn't need that.

Rio need stability and a safe place to grow, and none of them had the power of the High Elder, so the best option was to go to Elder Asis, and hope the High Elder doesn't offend Elder Asis, Rio was sure he wouldn't though, No one in their right mind would offend the only accomplished Alchemist.

After properly recognizing his talent, Elise, or should I say The sect leader decided to invest in him more, providing him more resources and support, making his path in cultivation so much smoother.

So, now all Rio had to do was prepare to set off to the competition, He already refined his own equipment that is suited for him and with the increase in cultivation he was able to control the refinement more, producing more efficient equipment to use

Rio was already notified that in a week, all of the inner and core disciples are going to be leaving to go to the tournament.
