Annoying a Friend
It had been a day since Marcius dropped the bomb on top of the heads of the upper echelons of the Aemilia clan. And things had calmed down, somewhat.
Although what Marcius revealed to them was indeed shocking, all of the commanding officers of the clan were seasoned and experienced cultivators. They knew the importance of the need to stay focused amid a siege and eventually moved on from the revelations Marcius made. All of them went back to their duties of overseeing the siege progress and there had been a lull in combat.
With the decisive defeat, the Order of Purple Sun suffered in their attempted sally, the enemy had decided to stay on the defensive. Still, the Hell Hammer cannons remained aimed at the gates of the order's stronghold, and the soldiers, the cultivators, as well as the knights continued their vigilance.
