Chapter 39 - Joy
We walked out of the room with him still carrying me in his arms.
The Butler leaves in a hurry after what happened. Even I couldn't see what was under the table, but he was able to sense she left something in there.
If he hadn't been able to do so, I don't know what could've happened.
'What was it?' I asked him while we were in the hallway as he walked like he wasn't carrying anyone in his arms.
He looked back ahead after reading what I just said. "Some kind of spell," he answered shortly. I can still feel his anger in his words. He wasn't happy with what just happened.
I can even feel the mana following us even after we left the room.
After he answered the question, all that there was left was silence and the sound of his shoes against the floor.
I don't know what to say about the situation.
It still hasn't sunk into me. We're getting married in a week.
