There was a knock on the door. "sir? It's time" came my assistant's voice.

I looked at my wristwatch, it was 5om on the dot. I sighed. I had busied myself with work the whole day and forgot about the engagement. I wished I could turn back the hands of time, I would avoid this stupidity.

I relaxed a bit and thought 'what if I don't show up'. My phone rang. It was Emma.

"Hello?"

"Theo, where the hell are you?"

" Don't you dare embarrass me. If you're thinking of not showing up then I assure you, you're Making a big mistake. I will make sure you and everyone around you suffer starting with Cheryl. " she fumed.

"I'll be there in an hour." I sad and hung up.

When I got there, I saw that a lot of people had arrived and I was the one they were waiting for. I looked around and thought she really went all out. From the lighting to the decor, she really outdid herself. I walked towards Emma and greeted her.
