The sixth and final

Even after dark, Lerai knew he could be out a couple of seconds before the night creatures arrived. That's how he waited until after dark before entering Aldric's cave on their first meeting. However, he didn't know exactly how many seconds he had, and he had gone way past the previous mark.

Then, with a last stride, Lerai reached the entrance, tossing Aldric into it with fatigued arms.

"Ahhhh!"

The screams of Lerai jerked Aldric back into consciousness, and he immediately scurried his way deeper into the shelter. However, the screams of Lerai still pierced the darkness as Aldric heared him struggle with something he couldn't see.

"Help!"

These were the last words Lerai screamed before his voice disappeared into the darkness.
