The Resilient Clarke

"When someone seems too good to be true they usually are" I bet you this Is the most interesting and the sweetest autobiography you've ever seen or heard, it's totally not a sob story but a motivation,i wasn't born with silver spoon but I will never stop chasing until I get the silver spoon, it is good I wasn't born with it so that I can get it myself, I was born the only male child of my parents with three kid sisters and one elder sister who is too churchy. I was born in a poor home but my parents did their best to give me all the good training every good parent should give their children for example going to church one of the most sacred rules in my house, going to any kind of work as long as it will pay money was part of the house itself for everyone in the house, my father was a security man and a subsistent farmer while my mother was Jack of all trades, there was no kind of work she does not do, I never had any pleasant experience with my parents or my family in quote, we were always at war, always disagreeing to agree, my father was very far from me so I grew up with my mother and it was indeed a terrible experience, cat and rat, every day fight and unending quarrell

Chapter 13 : THE STORY CONTINUES..

I learned to appreciate myself as a kid, I learned providing for myself as a kid because I had no one to do it for and I was always a wise kid, instead of falling apart because I was alone rather I stood firm alone.

So I always wanted more from the outside because I knew I wasn't getting much from the inside even till now, I started pushing all the kind gestures I was wasting on some unnecessary people to myself as a kid.

Little by little I began to adapt slowly but steadily, I've been hearing about Black berry phone since I was in the village, I met one guy in the redeem church one Sunday we went for a rally, he said he wanted to sell his black berry bold 10, I asked him the price he said 13,000 naira we bargained until he agreed to sell it 8000 naira.

The phone was quite okay though but I didn't enjoy it, I had been hearing of black berry and I was thinking it's one kind big phone with Bigger screen for games like the normal java phones like Nokia 2700, Nokia xpress music, Nokia c2 original, Nokia A1 slide, or maybe like symbian phones like Nokia N70, navigator, N90 and the rest of them.

But the black berry bold 10 was just as bored and dull as the name sounds, I never enjoyed it, I payed him twice for the phone, I gave him an advance of 4000 then at the end of the month I gave him the remaining 4000.

I had added that one to my achievements and the life goes on.

The church activities has gotten lot more interesting while the work duties was becoming less interesting because it was already a hard labour under house help, it wasn't a poultry worker anymore, we became house boys for four months.

Each time they held a teens meeting in the church I dare not miss it because it was as lot's fun even though I wasn't joining them to catch the fun but I was enjoying watching the queen have her fun with the few persons she talks to.

I was just okay staying around her even though I wasn't talking to her , the most interesting thing about the angel is that she is very exquisitely different in all around both in wisdom and in shape or size or form she was just perfectly created, she was even the one teaching us in the teens Sunday school class.

It got to a point I began seeing a little courage to even speak her name in her absence, I began asking the guys that I talk with once in a while about the angel, guess what every of their response was..

They all said to me, brother man that one is a no go area, meaning she is not that usual kind of girl, they told me her name and they showed me her families in the church and indeed beauty runs through their veins.

Every one in their family is very beautiful and very fair in complexion, they were about 4 in number, one boy and 3 girls and she was the first daughter but the boy is the eldest, the family looked so enviable, ranging from their beautiful mother to their handsome father with gorgeous children, every one in the church and in the streets envied her family a lot.

From that August till December 2014 I was just thinking of what I could tell her first if ever approach her, but first I began to keep myself to standard both in appearance and in behavior before I could even dream of approaching her.

I began to change the way I speak both English and the normal Igbo dialect just to be able to speak to her if maybe I approached her.

Few months later, Around 13th of November we heard a welcoming noise from downstairs even my boss wife rushed out side to see what was that and the first thing she shouted was hey see my beloved daughter, she rushed downstairs and we joined her to go and welcome their last daughter who has just arrived from London.

We packed all the things she came back with upstairs and the people who were making the noise they all returned to their various destinations, with that joy in their hearts I had already known that things would change a bit even though is just for a while and it was so.

She gave us two bounty chocolate one each and none of us had eaten it before my colleague and I, she gave us two piece of irish soap one each, we had believed that those gifts were coming direct from London on our own, no one told us that, we just speculated, we never knew it was just something she bought from a super market in Lagos when she alighted.

We couldn't use the soap,we went a hid it inside our boxes, we had Already planned on going to the village with it to go and form big boys in the village with London base soap, little did we know that every Lock up shops in that street has that soap for sale for 150 naira, we went to check if it's sold around.

"Timidity and naivety it's a great disease" "environmental development and technological advancement is the new life for everyone to feel and experience" no one should be denied of it, that is why education is very important and necessary for everyone.

It was later on in 2015 that I started working in a super market that I realized I was really a village boy then I began to adjust fastly, until...
