The Renown Almakhadie

In the year of 2060, a billion people eagerly joined a cutting-edge virtual reality game that mirrored real life. However, after logging in, they discovered a shocking truth: they couldn't log out. This wasn't a glitch but a deliberate feature, plunging the game into chaos. The only ways to escape were to beat the game, die in the virtual world, or take their own lives, risking death in reality. Amidst this turmoil, a unique young boy, who seemed misplaced in this world, stood out. Driven by an insatiable thirst for power since childhood, he possessed immense knowledge, strength, and survival skills. This story delves into the challenges faced by someone with unparalleled capabilities in a foreign world and explores the contrast between ordinary individuals, some confined to their rooms, and someone who has honed themselves to be the most capable and strongest. In this unforgiving virtual realm, life took on a brutal and unpredictable nature. The contrast between the ordinary, civilized life they once knew and the harsh reality of a world teeming with monsters was stark. Normal concerns were replaced by constant vigilance, as any moment could bring peril or the loss of a loved one. The once-comfortable routines of everyday life were shattered, replaced by the relentless struggle for survival. Gone were the days of secure homes and predictable schedules. Now, every step held the potential for a life-or-death encounter with the monstrous inhabitants of this digital realm.

Teleportation

"Hurry! What if any of your tournaments starts soon?" the young girl said. "No need to stress, guys; our tournaments don't start for almost two hours. Let's just take our time and chill," the big and muscular dude responded to her, trying to make her quiet. "I agree with Brok; let's just chill out for a moment. Crow almost passed out because of all the inspections. He's never been good at that, y'know?" the more mature woman agreed with Brok, primarily concerned about herself since she didn't want to walk any further. "Why do we have to do this, guys? If we can't even use our special magic or flight in the first few rounds, will we even get the chance to fight Velios?" Crow was the one talking this time, and what he said was entirely true. They had recently started learning how to use their powers effectively, and now they had to compete against knights, students, experienced adventurers, and even dragons from other factions, and they weren't even allowed to use their magic. For all the rounds until the last 64 remain, no magic except fire can be utilized, and flying is strictly forbidden. It isn't until the round of 64, the main tournament begins, before you get to use whatever you want. That includes any type of weapon, any magic, and flying is permitted.

"We won't be able to go to the same arenas anyway. We have to split up, either way, so we'll individually have to say which arena we have to go to." It was rare for any of them to normally have any sort of consistency when it came to organization, but so far they had managed pretty well. One of the reasons they had come was obviously because that was what Velios had wished, and they wanted to give him something in return since all of them were extremely grateful to him for everything he had done. But all of them had yet another reason. They didn't even know how to believe it, and they thought he was lying. His personality wasn't all that convincing, but with everything that had happened, they had never once met a human who was so strong, so it was hard to believe that he was anything but a dragon. They wanted answers, and although no one had said it yet, they all had a single goal in mind. That was to get far enough to face Velios, to be worthy enough to talk to him so that they could get their questions answered.

Before they left for their respective arenas, they had all promised each other to meet again in the main tournament, and all that was left was for each of them to slowly make their way up, fighting stronger and stronger opponents. They already knew that they had no way to win either way since most knights from the first battalion and some of the stronger ones from the second battalion. Not only that, but rumors were going around that the first battalion's captain was going to fight. More rumors regarding the knights and adventurers from other factions had widely spread, and the reason for them being here was not simply for fame or glory. This tournament had a secret prize that only people with a close connection to the king knew about. The prize wasn't publicly stated, but rumors of what the prize could be spread like wildfire. Many people thought that it could be an immense amount of riches or influence, while some speculated that it just might be slaves.

"Man, it's so boring watching them fight; when is it my turn?" Velios sighed, sitting on the stands to the side of the flat, circle-shaped arena. "I guess that magic isn't allowed in the first few rounds, and it looks like none of them are flying. Sure, they're far stronger than any normal monster, and a single one of their inferior versions could take out the strongest humans in minutes, but there was no style to it, it was just a brutal fight between barbarians. No technique, nothing sophisticated, and far too weak shall they face Velios. To his eyes, they were moving slowly and sloppily, with mountains of unnecessary movement and sloppy footwork. In reality, no normal human would be able to keep up with their strength and speed. Dragons are born naturally strong and talented in the arts of combat, but only those dragons that train stand even a sliver of a chance. If they decided to underestimate him, Velios would probably get pissed off and kill one of them eventually.

"Uhh... Next fight, we have the second battalion knight, Chris Draon, fighting against... Soilev?" The commentator announced the next fight, and with that, a spark lit up in Velios. The crowd was both excited and confused. They didn't know if they should have shown empathy or not for the unknown challenger. Knights are revered throughout the whole country, and none of them thought for even a second that the challenger named Soilev would stand even a chance. "Who is that guy he is facing? I feel kinda bad for him." "We already get to see a knight in action?" "But that other guy is going to lose too quickly; we won't even get to see what Mr. Draon is capable of." Doubts could be heard from among the crowd of spectators as the two of them walked out and onto the arena. Small amounts of laughter could be heard from the crowd as they saw what guy the dragon knight was going to face. "Seriously? He looks so weak; is he even a dragon?" The crowd kept being awfully obnoxious, and Velios knew the reason for it. Dragon knights are basically the protectors of the entire city. If they weren't facing some of the strongest adventurers, then they would obviously have standards for winning.

"Are both of you ready?" The referee asked, looking at the two contestants, fully aware of how it was going to end. The dragon knight didn't even bother unsheathing his sword; he just stood there, looking Velios in the eye. "Let the fight begin!" A sudden thud could be heard. None of them had begun moving yet, but Chris was lying face-first on the cold ground. "Mr. Draon?" The referee was confused at what happened. He looked over at Velios to find him standing in the exact same position, not having moved. The crowd was equally confused about what had happened. Velios just began walking away. "W-Winner, Soilev!" The crowd erupted in anger. "Give me my money back! I won't accept this!" "He's cheating!" "He must be using some powerful artifact!" The crowd had no idea what was going on anymore. The only thing they knew for certain was that each and every one of them had now lost a bunch of money betting on the dragon knight winning. In the end, a huge uproar had been created, and multiple guards had to come in and calm down the situation.

"I just want to fight someone powerful... I probably have time to train a little bit. I need to master more magic, especially teleportation..." Velios simply walked away, no longer being bothered. He was informed that because of the number of participants, it would take roughly six hours before his next fight. He had time to waltz around before having to come back, and he would be able to train at the same time. Although, with the number of people around him, all he could really do was strain his senses to the max, like usual, and proceed with training his teleportation. Velios didn't really bother, but he knew that the guys from the watchers earlier were angry at him because of their own stupidity. If a single one of them decided to try and fight him, he didn't know if he could hold in the urge to just kill them. Why does teleportation have to be so complicated? It's basically just a transfer of information. Think of the human body as an example, with all of its different components, functions, and capabilities. Now imagine a place or a target and 'move' that information through the help of magic. Velios had all the time in the world, six hours, and the training he was doing was extremely hard mentally. He basically had to be a human AI, and it was extremely exhausting him.

Velios understood the concept of it from reading it just once. The only problem was that Velios could do it but not on long distances or on multiple objects or people. If it could only travel short distances, then simply running would be better. Velios had to find a way to make it more effective, but he didn't know what he lacked. If it was his old world, then he would be unsure of what to do, but the world he is in now works completely differently. As long as you do something, you get better at that something. Velios would eventually be able to increase the speed and amount of information he could transfer and, therefore, make it more effective. He would also get an increase in his magical knowledge, understanding of magic and mana control, and the amount of mana. It was such a simple system, but he was confused at how bad others were at utilizing it. If everyone wanted to get better at fighting than they would just need to fight until all of their bones are broken, and they would get stronger. The more time Velios spent training, the closer he felt to the true essence, the true meaning of teleportation magic.
