Chapter 11: Vanessa's Second Escap

Vanessa's Point Of View.

I sank into the couch by the window of the room I was in. I swung my legs lazily, looking around for something that I could do.

I had been locked up here for five days now, with nothing to do but read a boring old book. I was almost going crazy with the thought of revenge, concocting several ways through which I would make Alpha Patrick pay.

This was five days since that battle in the forest, and I was sick of it.

I picked up the book I was reading and tried to busy myself with reading it, but I couldn't. I just couldn't. I couldn't concentrate on the words, or do anything meaningful. I was restless and anxious, and I knew I would never truly find peace until I was out of this pack for good.

Alpha William is in a coma because of you, a tiny voice whispered in my ear, but I shook my head stubbornly.

I had to leave, one way or another.
