Epic Class Dungeon

Drake and Loco came up to the dungeon entrance and looked inside the deep cavern. Drake looked at Loco and said to him."This is our first dungeon, whether by ourselves or with others, so I'd like to do something to catalog our martial progress, If you're interested?"

Loco was curious and said back,"Go for it, sounds like you have something fun in mind?"

Drake just chuckled and said, "This game actually has an in-game recording function that any player can call upon. They actually put it in for the very reason I am going to use it for, as a way to showcase my power to others. So, what do ya' say?"

Loco was a little surprised," Yeah, of course I don't know mind, in fact my respect for you asking before just assuming I would be ok with it raised my opinion of you haha" he chuckled softly

Drake was a little embarrassed and blushed but then quickly got a hold of himself and said to Loco," Ok, I only have 1 request, when we get to the boss, let me fight him alone". Drake didn't know if Loco would agree to this proposition as Loco was known to be a very prideful person in his last life. He was a true leader and his guild [Dragon Sky] was among the fiercest in the game and he didn't let anyone take advantage of him or his guild. Drake was purposefully being very respectful of this future heavyweight and it didn't even cross his mind to ask for his permission. If Drake suddenly asked this at the last minute it would seem very disrespectful, no matter how many favors he sold to Loco.

Loco looked at him with a slightly surprised face and said,"Ok, but only if I get first pick on any mini-bosses! In exchange, anything the boss drops will be all yours if you defeat it by yourself! I want to see how great this class of yours is!"

Drake laughed at this and said back,"All right, this is an [Epic Class Dungeon] and the moment we step in there, we'll probably be busy for at least 4 days. From the information that I know of, there should be 2 mini-bosses and 1 primary boss. I don't have any information on the 2 mini-bosses, but the main mobs should be [Poison Alpaca] and [Poison Baboon]. As the information suggests, this dungeon's main theme is poison and toxic material. The Alpaca are ranged poison spitters and the baboons are poisonous to the touch and will attempt to melee you with their claws. We'll have to try our best with the mini-bosses as there is not a lot of information on them."

Loco was so overwhelmed by the amount of information that Drake was spitting out he felt light headed. 'This guy is crazy! Even more than me! He was working on his class, which was legendary and he still had time to gather all this information!' Loco thought to himself as he silently promised himself to never get on Drake's bad side.

Drake and Loco silently nodded at each other in recognition and turned and headed into the cave. The cave seemed like it reverberated in joy when the two came into it. This was the start of what people would refer to as 'the beast waves' Suddenly, a poison baboon came sprinting at them with it's claws extended, trying to swipe at them.

Loco was the first to spot the Baboon and he he summoned two curved swords. They glistened against the damp light in the cave, shining and casting a glare onto the ground. Drake looked at Loco's two weapons and thought 'Scimitars huh? Last life he held two rapiers.' Loco swung his scimitars down in a smooth arc, crossing paths with the monkey's claws. The two sides clashed briefly, and Loco looked confident until 2 poisonous blobs came flying from behind the baboon.

Drake rushed forward while yelling,"Alpaca behind! Stay vigilant!" Drake said this briefly while rushing past Loco and the baboon, encountering two alpacas about 20 feet away. Drake knew that the alpaca here were not defense oriented at all, so while Loco took care of the baboon, he would need to take care of the alpaca. Drake swung his spear down, mimicking the first technique, instantly slicing the alpaca in half, while the other one managed to dodge. The surviving alpaca quickly got another poison lugee ready, but just before it could spit at Drake, he thrust his spear toward the center of it's chest, instantly piercing it's heart.

Drake checked his stats and sure enough, he now had 13 strength. Every level up gives you 1 stat point, so Drake knew that getting that 1 stat point automatically was a godsend ability. Drake had already decided that since he would be facing alot of strong monsters in the future he shouldn't need to worry about strength, and instead should put at least half of his stats into defense. Until drake could get skills and equipment to make up for his defense, he would put at least half of every 10 levels into defense. So for every 10 levels he would put 5 into defense, and then spread the other 5 points out according to his needs. Drake put 3 points into defense and went back over to Loco.

Loco was just finishing up as well, allocating his stats after he leveled up twice from the baboon. Drake said,"You done with this one? Let's move onto the next batch, if not we might end up lagging in this cave for more than 4 or 5 days haha!" he chuckled lightly at his own joke.

Loco agreed and they crept further into the cave, after a minute of walking they encountered another group of baboons and alpaca, and much like the previous three, they were quickly taken care of. Drake and Loco slowly pushed forwards, defeating 20 more of each monster in a matter of hours. Drake and Loco were currently in their fifth hour and they were still fighting. Drake said to Loco after the had both reached the end of another battle,"I think it should take us roughly 2 days to get through to first mini-boss, the first stretch is a lot longer and tougher than the middle and end parts, however we need to stay vigilant.

Drake swung his spear in a downward arc, killing another alpaca, and securing him another level. He had just reached level 10 and could now receive his first martial skill. The cool thing about dungeons is that all the corpses of the monsters that you kill auto sell to the system as part of "cleanup". What this means is that when challenging dungeons, you rake in quite a bit of money with killing higher ranked monsters. The economy of the empire they were currently in had five different coins. First was copper, 100 coppers made 1 silver, 100 silver to 1 gold, 100 gold to 1 platinum, and 10,000 platinum coins could get you one Mithril coin. Mithril was one of the rarest metals in the game, and 1 Platinum coin get get you a substantial favor, even from the emperor himself. Loco was the 37th richest player in his past life and if rumors were to be believed, only ever held a single mithril coin.

Drake distributed his points and upon completion was granted a notification screen from the game system.

Suddenly 3 purple cards appeared in front of Drake. Drake silently gulped as them being purple meant that no matter what the system would give him an epic class skill! The cards in front of him were completely blank, so he could only randomly choose one. He chose the one in the middle, it just seemed to be calling to him.

Drake looked at the skill card and read the description.

[Martial Skill [Body Double]: Once every 12 hours the player will be able to call upon a body double that will fight monsters based on the techniques used by the player]

Drake was really surprised and thought 'Wait a minute, to anyone else this would be awesome, but for me, wouldn't this be extremely overpowered? A clone that will fight with me, and has all my moves? Is this really an Epic skill?' Drake threw that thought to the back of his mind and pulled up his stat screen.
