The dragon of the blood sword

Ah is it you are you the one who summoned me this time. The misterious man dressed in all black said. Selena was shocked to see the man and did not know how to respond to him at the same time she thought that the man looked quite handsome with his black hairs and blood red eyes and a good figure.

After the man did not get any response from Selena he continued to ask a different question. Little girl can you see me? Selena found this question quite strange why would she not be able to see him? Putting her question aside Selena nodded her head in agreement.

The man: Good! It means you are the one.

Selena is confused what does he mean by the one but she does not dare ask him what he means as the magic ability she senses from him is over human limits. It means what ever this man is he is not human and could kill her at any given moment.

As soon as the man got his answer he realised that Selena looked quite confused to see him.

He said: I guess it is time for me to properly introduce myself. My name is Ren and I am the dragon of the blood sword and I shall surve you until the day you die my lady.

At this Selena started to scream internally. What?!! What does this mean mean dragon,surve. Selena had never heard of a dragon that could change into a human. The only thought that was in her mind was to run and inform the guards that there was an intruder. But if the guards found out that she was in the treasure room she would certainly be in big trouble.

The dragon Ren continued by saying that his lady did not have any need to be afraid of him.

After calming down a little Selena asked Ren a question: How did you get in the mansion?

Ren who had been standing there waiting for his lady's response looked at her with surprise in his eyes. He could not understand how the little girl did not understand even a single word he had just said.

Sighing Ren said to himself: I guess I should not have expected a little kid to understand I said in the first place.

Ren bent down to Selena's level and looked at her from top to bottom and finally said while patting the scared Selena's head: you are quite a cute little girl huh.

This took Selena of guard for a second. Cute! Who is this man calling cute? Selena thought to herself. Finally have had enough of this guy treating her like a little kid. Selena slapped his hand away. After getting up she commanded that the man tell her who he was and what he wanted from from her? And told him not to fool around with her anymore. While she said all this her eyes glowed more red then ever before.

Ren seeing the confedence of Selena smiled slightly and thought she is quite remarkable any other ordinary human would have definitely stayed still and not dare to make a noise. This farther confirmed to him that the little girl was most definitely his new master.

Getting up from his position he first apologised about his behaviour and then continued by telling her that she was now the owner of the blood sword that would mean that he is now to keep her safe and not to let her get hurt.

Selena was confused. She thought that only men could possess the blood sword. Selena questioned Ren about it and Ren said that all of that is bulshit and that anyone can possess the blood sword as long as the first Duke approves of them.

Selena: The first Duke? What do you mean the first Duke is dead how could someone who is dead tell if someone is worthy of holding holding the sword?

Ren pointing to the sword told Selena that the sword possesses some of the first Duke's magic within it and that magic informs him whenever a suitable person has been found to hold the sword.

Ren walking out of the treasure room said: Now that that has been taken care of my lady would you like to tell me where your room so I could go back to sleep.

As soon as Ren started to walk out of the room Selena shouted at him saying: What are you doing what if someone sees you roaming around?

Ren with an annoyed tone replied while walking: you don't need to worry no one but you is able to see me.

Selena:they can't see you? Why?

Ren : Because it breaks the contract that I made with the first Duke. You should also avoid telling people about my existence.

Selena:why can people not know about you?

Ren : What do you think the humen's reaction would be if they found out that the Agana family has the dragon lord as an friend.

After hearing the word dragon lord Selena froze at one place Ren had walked a few steps farther then her when he stopped and looked behind him.

Selena with a tumbling voice said: what! What do you mean by dragon lord? You can't possibly be trying to say that you are the dragon lord.

Ren: Well who else am I supposed to be? Have you ever seen another dragon change in a human before?

Selena: But how was an ordinary human able to make a generation long contract with the dragon lord?

Ren: The question is quite good but it is going to take a long time to tell the story so I suggest that we go to your room first.

After saying that he continued to walk but Selena was still too shocked to even move a single even a single step forward.
