CHAPTER 62

She can't believe she fell asleep to the extent that she snored. And why was she in the carriage. She sat up in a sluggish manner, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand before she yawned, opening her mouth to the extreme.

"Why is it so quiet?". She thought inwardly. She quickly became wary, cause it was quiet: Quiet was an understatement. It was as silent as a graveyard. She quickly sat up straight, all her jelly bone turning rigid.

" Where are the others?, Is it night already?, And why is the carriage window shut?, Did he found out I was suspicious about him, so he locked me up here?, Were they trying to suffocate me?". Questions after questions kept swirling in her head as she stretch forth her hand to open the wooden window and her eyes dilated with the sight that welcomed her.

*********

It felt like a movie, but she knew it wasn't. What she saw was scary and out of the box. She wanted to speak but she couldn't. It was as if all the words went into their hiding. On second thought, why would she speak?. She could speak only if she was ready to die. All her head could think of right now was to run but her body won't yield to the call of her mind. All she could do was watch, her eyes did the watching but her soul wasn't there. She was in shock. She shouldn't be in shock. What was she expecting?. Since this world existed then why can't this also exist. She was a book worm who loves fictional stories but that doesn't means that she doesn't have the right to be shocked when she sees an imaginary character in real life. Even if she was expecting this, she wasn't suspecting someone like her partners. She had been traveling with a couple of werewolves and demons or vampire. Of course it'll be shocking. The most shocking part was Zamiel's. She shouldn't be shocked since she was suspecting him to be a witch.

She could feel her eye burn with the scene that her eyes beheld. She could only watch as they transformed one after the other. Even Beebah was among them. The thought of Beebah being a werewolf made the hair on her neck rise. All she could do was watch. Her eyes stung but this time there was no traces of tears. She watched Zamiel also transformed into something unimaginable. The transformation was exactly like those she watches on television. It was mesmerizing as she watched him grew into an extra large man. It was more than extra large, he looked like a giant and he had red skin. He had teeth like that of a dinosaur. It was pointy and sharp and his leg looked bendy like that of an animal. It was like that of a lion or dog but he was having the hands of a human. His eyes still looked blue. Weird.

The rest were just werewolves except Phillip. She felt a tiny bit of relief, maybe because at least a person she knew wasn't just a wolf in sheep's clothing.

But she quickly took back her words when he ran with speed and his eyes turned red. what is happening?. And why were they transforming?. Now she knows why they were transforming.

************

She opened the door at the other side of the carriage. It was time to escape, she doesn't want to get tangled up in these game. She thanked her stars that they already made it out of that vast land or else she was sure they would notice her. And what was more scary than a werewolf approaching you. She'd feel like a slave after this, except for that, she'd loose her appetite and her perspective about them would change.

She sneaked out silently. An earth quake announcing her departure. Maybe it wasn't announcing, it was introducing something big and scary. The earth shook and she quickly jumped out of the carriage, whimpering to cover up her screams. She felt pain on her body but it quickly turn numb with her mission unaccomplished. It was getting dark, it was probably around four o'clock. She looked up to the sky before making a run for it.

But she quickly stopped in her tracks when she saw a giant monster. It looked green and dirty, and slobbery. And it reeks. It had a huge stick that she usually sees with barbarians in the movies. Her body quickly went stiff as she saw the huge thing coming out from the earth. It had grasses growing in its face or whatever. She took her steps lightly in order not to be noticed by the huge monster. The steps were taken out of survival instincts,If it wasn't for that, she was pretty sure she'd have fainted. She saw another and another, and two more. How many were they?!. Now she was praying and hoping that Zamiel and his team wins this battle but first she has to protect herself. Everyone was out there protecting themselves while she was here doing nothing. The least she could do was hide till everything was over. With this thought, she quickly hid behind a huge tree.

**************

She didn't even know how long she has been running all she knew was that she had to escape. She was pretty sure she must have hurt herself with the thorns and twigs lying here and there but she didn't care. Even her slippers are nowhere to be found. She didn't remember where it went, all she knew was that she had to run faraway from here. She was running too fast. She didn't even know she could run that fast, she felt so light like feathers. Fear makes you discover your talents. Ever since she was in school she has never participated in any strenuous activity called sports.

She was running too fast she didn't even notice an obstacle in front of her. By the time she noticed, it was too late to stop. It was so hard and soft at the same time as she bumped into the obstacle with a very tough impact, colliding with it. That was the last thing she saw as she sinks into that sweet darkness.

***********

Nooooooo!!!!!. Please come back. She heard someone yell at the top of their lungs. Everywhere was on fire. She was no longer in that woods that was creepy as hell. It looked like a castle that was in ruins. She could hear a lady silently weeping. She looked shattered from distance. Her heart felt tight seeing that lady in such state. She didn't even know when she started walking towards the lady. Her leg just did the walking without the consent of her mind, it was as if the lady was calling out to her. And as she got closer to the woman, she noticed something in the lady's arm. She had something in her arm as she hugged it tighter. This piked her interest the more. Did she lost somebody. She stretched her hand to touch the lady but her hand passed through the lady.

Oh great!". She laments, not feeling bad about it, since she was aware she was dead anyways. She changed her strategy to seeing the lady's face, she knew she couldn't console the lady since she was invisible to her. But when she reached the lady's front, crouching down to the lady's level she still couldn't see the lady's face. She seems to want to merge her self with the person she was holding, except that she couldn't even see the person's face who turned out to be a man. The lady's white and shiny hair was covering both the man's and her face. All she could do was watch the lady cry.

She sat down beside the lady, staring at the man and then at the lady who was still weeping silently. She looked at the lady's dressing which was more than what she expected. She was too engrossed in finding out the lady's identity that she didn't check out her appearance. This lady looked ethereal

even though she couldn't see her face. Her skin was like the desert's. It was brown and glowing and her hair was long and white and it was sparkling as if it had tiny diamond in it. Her dressing was endowed with gold and diamonds. She had a white armless top and a long but transparent white skirt on. The skirt seems to have a splitting all the way to the top.

"I understand you are broken. And no words can heal you at the moment, but all I'm going to say is that you shouldn't let that destroy who you are. I'm pretty sure you have thousands of enemy with how pretty you are. And you wouldn't want to fulfil their dream by making them see your downfall." She said with slight humor. She was saying this even though she was fully aware the lady couldn't see her.

"So you can cry all you want. Crying heals the heart. Even if you don't feel healed your chest lightens". She said smiling, rotating her head to the side to look at her audience who was still whimpering silently. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the slight movement from the lady. The lady opened her tightened eyes slowly to reveal a golden eyes that was like melted gold. The way the lady opened her eyes was as if she had come to terms with reality. It was as if she already accepted the advise from Mira which in turn had Mira's heart skipped a beat.
