Chapter 8: The first dungeon raid 3

They all walked as quietly forward, they wanted to get as close as possible before the mage used her skill, they wanted to use every second to deal as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Everytime it moved they stood still and carried on when it looked like it lost interest.

When the tanks were a few feet in front of it and the damage dealers were on standby in behind them the mage raised her staff.

"[Mudslide]!" she said.

The bat turned its head towards the mage but before it could leave it's feet and claws seemed to sink into the ground.

"Now!" Marcus yelled.

All three of them jumped towards it.

Both Marcus and the female Swordsman used [Stab] multiple times.

'Fuck even with that extra 10% I'm barely doing as much damage as I'd hoped' Marcus thought.

'My damage barely gets to 30 while he's almost at 100, he's crazy strong even though we're the same class and same level' The female swordsman thought while she looked at Marcus.

Oliver was barely scratching it with his normal attacks.

While it was good damage it wasn't as good as Marcus was hoping.

'I'm glad I brought this party with me, all damage is appreciated no matter how little' he thought.

"The mages should hit it with magic!" The female Swordsman yelled attacking it again.

[-20]

"No, they'll save their magic for when he goes berserk!" he yelled. That's what he was doing with [Flow] as well, he could only use it for a short time so he would rather save it for the finish line then burn it at the start.

[Health: 1715]

The tanks both used [Shielf charge]

"Why such little damage?!" one of them asked.

"Level suppression!" Marcus yelled as he used [Slash]

The [Giant bat] opened its mouth wide.

"Get back!" He yelled.

He jumped back and everyone followed to the wall.

[Giant bat used screech]

Their backs touched the wall and a blast of wind almost hit them as the boss screeched loudly.

When it stopped Marcus saw the boss was about to move so he threw a [Stun bomb].

[Boss stunned]

"Charge in!" he said as he started using [Stab] like a madman.

Everyone except the mages ran forward attacking like crazy.

[Health: 1050]

When the stun ran out the [Giant bat] opened its mouth and tried to use [Blood sucker] on one of the tanks, but Oliver saw it and threw on directly at its face.

They onslaught carried on without stopping until its health got low and berserk stared.

[Boss has started going berserk]

[Health regen +50 per second]

"Mages!" Marcus yelled.

The female mage used mudslide and amplify on Marcus and the female Swordsman.

[+50 attack]

[Duration: 2 minutes]

The male mage used [Fireball] and [Waterball] as consecutively as possible, Marcus and the female Swordsman both used [Slash] and kept using [Stab] to compete with the regen when Marcus heard a messege from the system.

Marcus smirked and his whole body was enveloped by a dim red light.

He jumped up and was level with the [Giant bats] head.

"Hey you blind bastard" he twisted his upper body to prepare for the move.

[Health: 158]

"Eat this" he said as his blade was thrust forward with extreme verosity into its skull, causing the whole head to vanish without a trace.

[Stab]

[Critical damage]

[Boss has been Slain]

The bat popped and was replaced by shining lights similar to glitter.

Marcus landed and immediately fell on his back.

"Fuck, that was close" he said taking deep breaths.

[EXP: 2625/5000]

He looked at everyone and saw how happy they were.

He looked at where the party used to be and saw all the items that dropped.

"Now we're talking" Marcus said.

Everyone looked at the equipment in shock.

"There's [Bronze grade] and [Silver grade] items" Oliver said shocked.

There was twelve items in total and seven of them had a slight silver shine to it, so everyone could see without needing to pick it up what it was.

Looked at all the stats of the items and saw what he wanted.

[Bat armor<bronze grade>](Swordsman exclusive)

[Chest plate]

[Defense: +50]

[Effect 1: when HP gets low creates an area that drains HP from enemies to heal, - 50HP from enemy +50HP to wearer]

"I'll take this" he said.

"Are you sure about that one?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, this suite me better then everything else and my main reason for coming here was the Exp anyway, anything else is yours" he said equipping the black chest plate. He also knew that silver items had level requirements that he knew he couldn't meet right now.

"How will we ever repay you for this?" Oliver smiled.

Marcus thought for a second and smiled.

"When I make a guild you guys can join it" he said.

Everyone was flabbergasted.

"Seriously?" the female Swordsman asked.

"Yeah" he said. "If you want to of course, I won't force you" he said.

Oliver extended his hand.

"You don't need to force us, we would be honored to join your guild" he said.

Marcus shook his hand.

"It would be a pleasure to have you Oliver Green" Marcus said before walking away. "Well, until we meet again" he said waving.

[Phoenix party disbanded]

"Mysterious guy" the tank said.

"Hey, did I tell him my last name?" Oliver asked.

Marcus walked out of the cave.

"I thought it was a coincidence, but by the looks of it he really is the Oliver I know" he said smiling. "To think I've already got acquainted with the <Green wind party> from the beginning, this will make things a bit easier in the future" he said.

[Oliver has sent a friend request]

[Accept!]

"Yep, I'm off to a good start" he said as he started going to town.

"Time to go to Velvet town" he said.

To be continued...
