Chapter 14

Marcus and Ben were currently grinding deeper in the forest, they've been at it for the whole day and the sun was getting ready to set.

[Marcus]

[Level up!]

[Level 5]

[Exp: 320/12000]

[Ben]

[Level up!]

[Level 4]

[532/8000]

"This is amazing, with leveling speed like this I'll make it to level 10 in no time!" Ben said with a grin on his face.

"While it's good to have confidence, it will take a while to get to that point" Marcus said looking at his AP.

[AP: 52]

"This is pretty good" he said begining to allocate them accordingly.

[Vitality: 55->70]

[Health: 700]

[HP:700]

[Strength:26+50]

[Speed:50]

[Dexterity:40]

[Vitality:70]

[Stamina:70]

[Defence:0+50]

He looked at his stats and smiled in satisfaction.

He unsheathed his sword and began swinging it with great speed and impressive control.

'I may be level 5 but it seems my stats are closer to a level 12, it seems those fruit and conquering that dungeon really gave me an advantage. I wonder what my stats will be like when I get to level 12' Marcus thought as his sword cut through the air like butter.

Ben looked at Marcus' display and was impressed. Even though he wasn't a melee class, he saw a few melee classes fight before and he could see that Marcus had a high degree of skill compared to them, his sword was fast and unbothered by the air resistance as others melee fighers. If he were to fight other Swordsman of the same level, he would win 10 out of 10 times.

'We all started at the same time but he's a different level, must be nice to come back in time' Ben thought smiling.

Marcus sheathed his blade. 'I need to up my dexterity a bit more, my strength will come after I get a new weapon' he thought.

He turned to Ben. "Let's head back to town" he said.

"What about the penalty?" Ben said.

"Can you see any red mist like waves floating around me?" Marcus asked.

"Are you talking about that stuff that's been floating around you for a couple of hours?" Ben asked in reply.

"Yeah" Marcus said.

"I don't see it anymore" Ben said.

"Then the penalty is over, you don't have any on you either" Marcus said.

Ben stood up.

"What does the penalty do anyway?" Ben asked.

"It makes it impossible to enter towns or villages without getting arrested or killed by local guards" Marcus said.

Ben had a shocked expression.

"They would have killed us?" Ben asked.

"No, we didn't kill that many people, so we would have just been arrested and locked up for an entire day" Marcus said.

Ben sighed in relief.

"By the way, we're splitting up for now" Marcus said plainly.

"Why?" Ben asked.

"You need to get to level 5 and I have a very dangerous quest that won't give me the results I want if your with me" Marcus said.

"I see" Ben said.

"I'll be gone a week, that will give you enough time to get to level 5,after that we'll challenge a dungeon" Marcus said.

"By ourselves?!" Ben said.

"Yeah, it's a simple dungeon and when you get to level 5 you'll be able to learn the perfect spell to conquer it, the cost is a bit high but I'll bring the money" Marcus said with a smirk.

"Alright then, if your that confident" Ben said scratching his head.

"Oh, you should take this mage equipment while your at it" Marcus said handing Ben the [Silver Grade] mage items.

Ben's eyes sparkled as he equipped the items.

"I can't belive I have a full set of silver grade items!" Ben yelled.

He read the descriptions of all his items and had a confused expression on his face.

"All these have a level requirement?" Ben asked confused.

"Yeah, Silver grade items aren't something you can put on just because you want to, it's important to have the necessary level to wear them" Marcus said.

"Why don't you put in silver grade equipment? It's certainly better then what you have now and you have the level for them" Ben said.

"I plan to sell these when I get the chance and these items aren't to my liking" Marcus said as he read the descriptions of the items he had in his inventory.

"I see" Ben replied.

Marcus took out a piece of paper and pen and wrote something down. When he finished he handed it to Ben.

"This is a good grinding location for going solo, it should get you to level 5 in no time at all, but make sure to listen to the instructions to the letter or your not gonna have fun" Marcus said.

Ben nodded.

"You should be good here, later" Marcus said as the village came into view.

"Your going now?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, the thing I want only appears at night, and I'd rather do it now" Marcus said and ran towards the [West forest].

Ben sighed and went back to town.

"I got a few silver, I should be able to sleep in a high quality inn tonight" Ben said with a smirk.

Marcus ran deeper and deeper into the [West forest] dodging all the monsters that were high leveled and killing any he could.

[Exp:700/12000]

"This place is fuller then I remember" he said.

This was only the case because in his first life he entered the west forest after it got a high population of players and monsters were cleared out as all players went to conquer the dungeon he was heading to. [The Irish pub] it was a dungeon that gave rewards not based in the level of the dungeon but the time it takes to clear and how many players were involved.

It was an unrated dungeon that could give you rewards above even high level Dungeons depending on luck, but depending on that same luck it could be to difficult to clear and with the more people involved even if you clear it in record time it could give absolute ass items. Even if you cleared it well and had all the luck in the world you couldn't get an item above Gold grade.

"Based on my past experiences in this dungeon my luck is pretty good and that was when others fought with me, I wonder what I'll get by myself" he said as he finally got to the location.

He looked around and realized finding the dungeon would be difficult.

'From what I remember, the first person to find the dungeon said he found it by accident in the west forest and that it was difficult to clear, there's no telling if it was difficult based on his level or that's how the dungeon operated on the first run through, but I should be able to deal with it, hopefully' he thought as continued searching. 'I should search by the lake, that's where the dungeon was the last time' he thought.

When the moon was at its highest in the sky he heard howls of multiple monsters out in the woods and at the same time he saw a tree near the lake emit mysterious white glow.

"Bullseye" he said as he walked towards it.

He touched the tree and immediately a messege appeared.

[Would you like to challenge <The Irish pub> dungeon?]

[Yes/No]

He pressed yes and entered the dungeon.

To be continued...
