He is turning

He is dead, looking at his lifeless body. There is no breath, no heart beat. This can't be happening. I just found him. My heart aches as I hug him to my chest crying. I've never experienced pain like this before. It's like someone ripped my heart out.

"I'm sorry Ben. Please wake up. Please dont leave me." I choke out the words. Laying my head on his stomach. Please wake up. The last time I cried was when my father told me I killed my mother when i was 6 years old. I never cried again.

When i felt his pain earlier, I lost control and shifted again. I don't know what is happening but everytime I feel him in danger I lose control. After I shifted I ran until I arrived here. I forgot about the portion and even left Mike and Bannard. They were behind me but I was faster. I killed every vampire infront of me. Some ran away after seeing me. I'm way more stronger than a regular wolf. When I got here and saw Damian. My anger multiplied but he got to Ben first. He fucking punched a hole in his chest.

I know he ran away, coward, but I'm going to hunt him down and kill him.

A hand lands on my shoulder. I look up at Bannard and Mike who are looking at me with pity in their eyes.

"Let's take him home." Bannard says softly. I see pain in his eyes.

I lift Ben as I stand up. We walk out of the mansion. Most of the vampires are dead and some ran away. When we are outside I look back at the mansion and then look at Ben's lifeless body.

"Burn it to the fucking ground." I instruct Bannard and Mike.

Bannard nods and turns towards the Mansion. Mike lingers looking uncertain.

" I need sometime alone, I will meet you back at the pack house tomorrow." I stare at him. He hesitates and understanding passes on his face.

"I'm sorry brother." He say sincerely then looks at Ben and leans down to kiss his cheek then strides back to the mansion. I walk towards the forest. After putting some distance between us, i put Ben down on the soft grass then shift to my beast form.

I can't believe it worked, this is the first time I've shifted to my beast form voluntary. I pick Ben up again and run.

I run until I reach the cabin in the woods. I place Ben on the bed and shiff back into my human form. I kneel on the side of the bed and cry my heart out.

I curse the moon, I curse everything cause why would they give me a mate then take him away? Ben was such a good guy. I squeeze his hand, his body is already cold.

I lean down to kiss him one last time on the lips but I pause when I get a whiff of vampire blood in his mouth. I lean even closer and sniff his mouth.

I freeze. This means... how did I not notice it before? Well I wouldn't have noticed cause I was covered in vampire blood so the scent coming from his mouth was unnoticeable. They made him drink vampire blood then killed him. That means he is not dead, well he is dead but he is going to wake up.

My heart skips. My heart is beating so hard in my chest. I'm probably going to die of heart attack. I freeze again when I think about it. He is going to be a vampire and I'm a wolf. Is the mate bond broken? I look at him. He looks dead. His lip color is starting to fade. His dried blood is everywhere, on his clothes and body.

"I don't care If you turn into a vampire. I will love you no matter what. Just come back to me baby." I whisper. I sit on the side of the bed like that for hours eventually I fall asleep holding Ben's hand.

I wake up feeling slight twitch of the hand I'm holding. I bolt up from the floor. And look at Ben, he looks more alive, paler than before. He is still sleeping but I can see the rise and fall of his chest. His hand twitches again. I squeeze it.

"I'm here baby. I'm waiting for you to come back to me." I whisper. I leave the room going to the bathroom to get a wet towel. I clean his body as best as I can. The hole in his chest already closed.

After I'm done. I seat on the chair besides the bed and watch him.

I stand up when I recall something. When he wakes up, he us going to need blood, I know a nearly turned vampire will wake up hungry and needing blood in order to survive. I take out my phone and call Bannard.

"I need blood." I say the minute he answers.

"Don't worry we are going to get Damian. I've already sent out some Wolves to go look for him. And I've informed the Alpha of the situation. Don't worry about anything. Just take all the time you need. " He says

"No I need blood. Like blood bags now." I explain

" blood for what?"

"Ben he is.." I hesitate. I trust bannard and Mike. "Ben is turning." I finally say.

"He's what? You mean he is turning into a vampire? How? I don't understand. I thought...ooh they gave him blood before he...fuck. he is going to need atleast 6 blood bags. I have a contact. Give me an hour."

He hangs up. I sigh in relief.

Moving back to the bedroom. Ben is still laying there. I brush a few strands of hair on his forehead.

"I can't believe I almost lost you." I whisper.

I swear, I'm going to rip Damian apart when I see him.
