Doomed Us All

Jackie, a woman in her late twenties. Before the apocalypse, she had been an ordinary military officer with some mad skills when it came to using long-ranged rifles. Now she was one of the few people who are relied upon to keep others safe.

She was positioned at the corner of the base in one of the four main watchtowers. For the past 10 days now there hadn't been signs of a single werewolf. And it was getting boring.

She knew she shouldn't jinx it, and wish for misfortune to strike, when it's been awhile since it had gone this long without sudden attacks from the werewolves.

But she couldn't help it, she was bored, and was starting to wonder what was the point of being stationed here in the first place. She sighed, and quenched her thirst with some water.

'I wish I could get my hand on some soda,' she yearningly thought.
