Chapter 22

"I see you're early." The familiar voice broke me out of my worries.

"My lunch finished early. So I came here." I replied to Diksha. She seems reliable, unlike others.

"Do you know what this place is?"

"Yes, I've heard people calling it a brothel but I don't know what that is."

"You're so young. I don't know how to tell you."

"Please tell me. I'll understand."

"Here people come to satisfy their needs." Now everything is going over my head. I just stared at her blankly.

"Do you know how to read?"

"Yes." My brother taught me to read and write. I didn't say it out loud. I'm a little careful about sharing my details and also she didn't ask.
