Chapter 20: Pride City
Once the meeting was adjourned, the plan to build the port, fieff, and banking system has began, I started with sending Mangola and Rock to overseer in Farmers City to help Count Rodger and his family handle the problems there. Since we were going to need Gert with the building here. The five merchants had alredy left to go get their things so they could move here, each of them had wanted to live in Majesty City as citizens here and had also given me their loyalty. I explained to them as well the same I told Count Rodger. Of course unlike him they didn't recieve any titles. "We managed to get citizens and merchants at once. I pretty happy." I say. Lexor stood beside me as we watched the other warriors worked on building the port first.
It was starting to come along, once he was finished they all took a break. "Any news about getting some ships to use?" I ask Lexor. "Guman Kingdom agreed to send some ships here for us to use, they said of course you have to pay them back once Majesty Kingdom is flourishing. They'll let you know what they want then." He says. I nod, after Guman Kingdom agreed to be parnters with Golden Dragon Kingdom, things have become easier. "Alright now that we have a port for shipping and recieving goods, you should build the fieff that will keep track of these goods and finances." I say to them.
They worked hard and the fieff was finished in about an hour. "I'm impressed with the speed of you guys." I say. The rest of the day went on building the bank, that took longer since there was a certain way I wanted it built and much larger than other buildings. There should be a security system and a place to put all the money that will be going into the banking treasury." I plan to put ten percent of the gold I recieved from that cave into the bank. It was a start since I was nearly depleted. Of course I still have the diamonds, but those will be used to start up at least two stores that I have in mind. Stores are needed here, the markest are for the poor, while the stores will be for those who can afford more. Of course that does not mean a person who is poor cannot shop at the stores.
Now that is doen, "alright, I want to show you the rest of my ideas. I want to start up to stores, there will be a store that sells candy. And a store that sells smell goods for men and women." I say showing the new blueprints. I looked around at all the empty buildings, "I want someone to work in the store that will be selling the smell goods. And I want someone to work in the store that will be selling the candies. Aldo be sure to find a chef with a very good background." I say marking this down and handing it over to Lexor. "I'll get right to it." He says teleporting away. "Don't we already have chefs?" Mangola asks. "Yeah but they will not be able to handle this. Candies are hard to make. Now lets go find out how we can make candies. We need something that could make chocolate." I tell them.
"Why not check out that city closest to Farmers City? I hear there's this wierd looking crop that grows there." Mangola points out. "Why didn't you say so earlier?" I ask as Femur is sent to fetch a carriage. "Well I didn't think it was necessary at the time. Besides entering this city will be a problem as there are bandits living there." She points out. I sigh, "seriously Mangola! You didn't think to tell Her Majesty about this?" Brim asks giving her a shake. "It must have slipped my mind. I just remembered it now." She says as Brim stops shaking her. "Forget it, let's go deal with it. There's always one problem after the next. We'll be dealing with bandits in my city. They have got some nerve." I say.
Meanwhile in that City
The leader of said bandits, Venna, is sitting in a chair made specifically for her. "Miss Venna, a scout says there's a fancy carriage heading in our direction!" One of the lookouts say rushing into the manor. She smiles a bit, "is that so? Looks like we have someone to rob." She says. She stands and walks out the manor where there wer bandits waiting for her instructions. This life was better than the life of a poor citizen. In order to take care of those who live in this city they had to resort to stealing and taking from the rich. Is this the right path to take? Perhaps not. But it was a start.
"The carriage has reached the path to Pride City, Leader." Another bandit says running up the path to the manor, She could tell that he must have rushed here since he was out of breath. "Let's go take this carriage down!" She yells. The bandits cheer happily as they marched to that path. Once they reached their destination, they hid in the bushes ready to attack.
