Chapter 18: Unwanted Guest

The banquet was over before I knew it, it didn't turn out the way I had expected. "Did it satisfy your curiousity, My Queen?" Castian asks as he helps me into my carriage. I guess in a way I was a bit curious and was trying to test the waters a bit. "I'm a bit ashamed, I admit. I walked into that banquet expecting a trap or even worse. It came out better than I had hoped." I admit as he climbs in beside me. The carriage ride back home was a long one, and since the night has already fallen I was a bit tired. I smile to myself, I guess little things like this is the reason why people choose to be good.

"We've arrived to the Palace Your Highnesses." The carriage driver announces as he pulled in front. Again I was helped out the carriage, this time Femur and Rock stood waiting to help me out. Brim came out the palace, Mangola behind her. The look on their faces were slightly troubled. And this is where my little peace ends. It's now back to reality, "I'm assuming judging by your facial expressions it's not good news." I say as we head inside the palace and to my study.

"Well, he claims to be your brother." Rock says as I stop at my study room. That ass? I see that the first time we spoke after so long was not enough for him. I sigh, well it was only likely he'd come visit. Especially since there's now crucial evidence of all his wrong doings reported all over the world right now. Castian pushed open the doors as I enter. The first person I see is my brother Rolo sitting and impatiently waiting. He stands immediately upon my entering and his expression was enough reason to understand that my analysis was correct.

"You bitch!" He says the minute I walk past him. Femur, Rock, and Castian stood in the middle looking down onto Rolo's pudgy figure. "Down boys." I say as they give Rolo one more glare before the six stood behind me. Rolo slams a packet onto my study table angrily, "you ratted me out, you are messing with the wrong person." His voice was low and full of hatred. I no longer cared about this person's anger. As a matter of fact, I think it's best that scum like my brother was punished heavily for their crimes.

Suddenly Mangola walked over and grabs Rolo's arm and then twists it behind his back. "Rolo. What do you think you did wrong?" I ask staring at him in a way that should make him understand that I mean business. "You came here to my Palace in a rage. A bastard like you don't deserve such a thing. So far you've done nothing but look down on me. So I want you to kneel." I order. Rolo grits his teeth, he showed no signs of relenting.

"Perhaps you didn't hear our Queen?" Mangola forces him to kneel, "get this shrimpy kid off me!" He says trying to struggle. "I bet you're wondering why your magic isn't working. You see one of Gert's abilities is to block off weaker magic than his. You can't use your magic here." I say. Rolo was beginning to realize his situation, if he can get away then he'd be able to get revenge. "Lexor send in the new royal guards." I say. Lexor bows and opens the doors as the ten men given to me by Castian enters the room.

"Your Majesty, the Royal Guards are at your command!" They say. I sit in my chair, "take him to the prison below. Rolo, brother, be ready for your trial in a couple of days." I tell him as the guards drag him out. Castian glances over at me, "leave." He tells the others. They bow before leaving us alone, "don't think too hard about it. You're doing the right thing." He says. I smiled, I knew it didn't quite reach my eyes, "I think you're misunderstanding something. I'm not thinking too hard about anything. I never thought of him as my brother, not once." I guess that was probably the problem.
