Chapter 26: Match against burnley

After kickoff the Burnley team decided to go long which got cleared by Maguire, they decide to launch a pass again only for it to gout of play. Goal kick to Manchester united.

Immediately after all Burnley players went into their half even before we set up for goal kick, De gea went short and passed to Maguire who then passed to Scott Mctominay, who after receiving the ball turned around and moved forward with it, on getting to the half way line burnley's striker came for the press, and then he had to pass to Iqbal but got his pass intercepted by a Burnley player who immediately sprinted with the ball. Due to not expecting an error manchester united players were caught off guard and by the time they reacted and think of tracking back a two on two chance was already formed.

The player with the ball who happened to be a winger after.getting to the edge of the box decided to pass to his striker who then faced Maguire one on one he made some fake move before boosting to his left, Maguire tried to follow him but he decide to play a reverse pass to a Burnley Midfielder just making a run into the box, on controlling the pass Lindelof tried to stop him from playing shot but he cheekily ran a pass to the winger that started it all in between Lindelof legs who then faced de gea with all time and space before choosing a low shot to the left corner. Goal Burnley takes the lead.

After some shouting and apologies and a short celebration from the Burnley team the match restarted with Martial passing to Iqbal who then returned it to Lindelof, who passes to Williams, the game went on with some short and safe passes from man utd with the aim of controlling the game.

Not until the 16th minute did manchester united create a chance through the flexible running of the players that got the opponents confused of their marker that got Sancho with the ball who passed to Iqbal who returned it before giving it to wan bissaka who used his heel to roll it forward and Sancho got free on the right side before he whipped a neat cross in that almost caused an own goal.

5 minutes later man UTD was back this time on the left flank where after quick passing that involved Garnacho, Eriksen and Williams that r confused that marker before Eriksen sent a delightful pass into the box in the path of a Sancho's run who headed it back to Martial's feet, martial responded with a half volley that got the ball spinning in the net. Equalizing goal from man utd. 1-1

As the game progressed Burnley team seems to totally give up on their attack rather they seem happy with a draw and have the match decided in penalties. But the man UTD people seems not happy with that as they launch attacks incessantly on the burnley's goal.

After the last attempt the next one came just two minutes later this time from a corner kick where Eriksen almost scored directly from a corner,.the Burnley keeper barely got his hand to it but was not able to clear well and the ball got to martial who passed to Garnacho at the edge of the box who then tried to play a spin shot that went just wide of the post.

.Three minutes later we are back again this time with a solo run from Garnacho who received the ball after a wing switching pass from the other side thereby creating space for him to gallop into and gallop he did, passing two players along the way with a quick cut and step over and when he was about to try his luck was brought down. The free kick from about 25 yards was taken by Eriksen who curled a sublime wall over the wall and past the keeper into goal. 2-1 to Manchester United.

The match continued with a bit more positive attitude from Burnley which unfortunately only hastened their demise when in the 43rd minute after getting seduced out of their half an accurate long pass got to martial who after out muscling his opponent passed to Sancho who using an elastico nutmegged his man before facing the keeper and then going for a lob.

That was all it took for the Burnley team to decide to launch an all out attack in the last few minutes of the first half with them crossing a lot of ball into our box and forced Mctominay and Maguire to put all focus on marking their aerial threats which resulted in a cut back cross in the 47th minute almost resulting in a goal forcing a super save from de gea.
