"Alison!" I stopped and turned to face the person who called me. David.

What does this snake need?

It's a miracle. He's no longer with Franxine. What happened to that girl?

"Did you see Franxine?" he inquired, and I simply raised an eyebrow at him.

Am I lost in found person for him?

"Am I the person who can identify where are does missing person are?" I inquired. I noticed a little scowl on his face, but it quickly vanished.

"Is she coming in?" he inquired.

"Does it appear that I know?" I asked, then looked away from him.

"You're so grumpy," he muttered before following me.

"It's too early for you to make my blood boil," I replied, facing him, who was accompanying me to the door.

"Why are you going along?" I inquired.

"Is it okay?" he inquired once again.

"I don't want to be with you," I stated emphatically.

"You can't do anything because I want to go with you." He claimed it was because I had stopped walking, and he, too, had stopped walking.

"Is it possible if you only tease others? If Franxine can handle your clinginess, then I won't.." I said.

"Is it bad to accompany you?" he inquired.

"Yes."

"Then I don't know anyone here except you and Franxine, so I'm accompanying you." He said something that made me more mad.

"Then wait for Franxine to come and go with her," I muttered, going to move away when he abruptly drew me close, causing me to collide with his chest; I felt his arm wrap around my waist. For unknown causes, my heart began to beat quickly, a rhythm I couldn't understand.

I could smell his scent because I was so near to him, and I bumped into his chin with just one false move.

"W-what the hell..." I whimpered and turned to face him. His finely sculpted face blocked the sun's rays, and I had a good look at the tip of his nose.

"Are you okay?" he said. I swallowed and gazed at his lips, then averted my gaze when his swallowing drew my attention, causing Adam's apple to move.

I instantly pulled him away from me and gave him a nasty glare.

"What exactly are you doing?" I inquired, agitated.

"Sorry, I threw the ball too hard." We were taken aback by the words, Wayne now holding the ball.

"Did you happen to get hit?" Wayne inquired, and I shook my head before returning my gaze to David, who was staring at Wayne.

"Doesn't this academy have a basketball court? Why are you playing in this place where you know the pupils are walking?" When David questioned Wayne, I noticed an odd smile on his face.

Only then did I see Wayne was dressed in a basketball uniform. Their team has had some practice.

"Because it's too early, the court is still closed. Second, I apologize, and third, neither you nor Alison was not injured." He states.

"However, what if Alison was hurt due to your carelessness?" David inquired. Wayne's basketball teammates had come, I noticed.

"What exactly do you want me to do?" "Didn't I already apologize?" I gulped and turned to face David.

It's not preferable if they will fight just because of the ball.

"Stop." I then moved in between them.

"No one was hurt, so there's no reason to be upset," I assured them both. Wayne gazed at David while David looked at me.

"It's not good to ruin your morning because of the ball," I explained as I drew David away from them.

David found it tough to get into trouble, especially since Wayne's basketball teammates were around.

I let go of David's hand and looked at him as we entered the building.

"It's not a good sign that you'll fight over the ball," I warned. He smirked.

"I'm not fighting, I'm just reprimanding him because they're playing in the wrong place." He elaborated.

"Even so, no one was hurt."

"So you'll speak up only when someone is hurt?" he queried.

"Do you get what I'm saying? My sole argument is that you're new here and possess no power. If you start a battle, you'll almost certainly lose. "You don't even know what kind of creatures you're encountering, and then you start causing havoc?"I was irritated,

"Don't you see what I'm saying? What if they inflict harm on someone? What if you get injured?" He inquired.

"What happens if I get hurt? Why do you care" I questioned, bringing him to a halt. His aura gradually darkened.

Did I say something incorrectly?

"After all, what do I care if you get hurt?" he questioned, making me chilly.

When he departed in front of me, I gulped and followed him with a glance that would get away from me until he was entirely out of sight.

After being left for a few minutes in front of the stairs inside the building, I gulped and looked in another way before taking a big breath.

What about me now? So what if I offended him? He doesn't care whether I get wounded or not.

I was ready to continue up the stairs when I came to a halt and looked to my left, where no one was there, and the light was turned out.

I saw the shadow of a woman standing in the center of the corridor. I closed my eyes twice.

"Miss, no one has arrived in that direction. Have you had a class today? Ask the janitors to switch on the light at the guard house." I muttered this while staring at the girl.

"Me...li..s..sa.."What she said astounded me.

"Alison." When someone grabbed my shoulder, I leaped in surprise.

"To whom are you speaking?" Wayne, who was now wearing a handkerchief over his shoulder, inquired.

"N-nothing..." I exclaimed as I turned to face the woman in the hallway.

"You're quite pale. Are you sure that you weren't hit by the ball earlier?" He asked, and I gulped and stared at him before nodding.

"I'm sorry about that earlier, that newbie is so arrogant." I ignored him,

"Are you going to go up? Let's go," he said, so I looked at him again and nodded.

Wayne and I went up to our classroom together, and when he opened the door, I noticed David turn toward us. His aura remains icy.

When he saw I was staring at him, he averted his gaze. I sat down in the seat next to him. The classroom is empty; only the three of us are present.

"Alison, would you like to eat with me later? It's my treat. Today is my birthday," Wayne said while sitting in front of me and staring at me.

David, who was right next to me, was quiet. I gulped and turned to face Wayne.

"All right," I replied, pausing to glance at David. While gazing in another direction, I observed his frown.

What is the matter with this man? His brow was furrowed in the morning.
