CHAPTER 32

DAMON'S POV

The scent of lavender and caramel was the first thing that filled my nostrils before the figure approached us from a distance.

Her hair disheveled and her clothes torn at each end. I wanted to scold her for being so careless but I was careful to keep my emotions locked up.

Taking a deep breath, I walked out from amongst my men. They had also seen her but they waited for me to make the move.

Looking at her tattered self, reminded me of how she fought against those werewolves for her dear life and looking at her now, seeing her already healed skin told me more that she was not an Omega, especially not the weakest one at that.

"I thought you would never return, Miss Ariona," I said.

She didn't reply, her lips pouting as she met my eyes.

"What did you do in the mountains?" I inquired, raising my voice to sound authoritative.
