Chapter 9: Her Past III

Venus was trembling. Mixed feelings were felt all at the same time. Fear, anger, confusions, horrified. Her hands were shaking while trying to call back the kidnappers. Yes, her mother was kidnapped. Her mother being held by some unknown kidnappers, and they only want her. They didn't ask for ransom. Her mind went blank.

Although Xander was talking to other businessmen, his eyes never leave Venus, Noticing that something was wrong, he excuse himself and walked toward Venus.

"What's wrong?" he asked her in low voice and full of concern but it is futile because as of this moment, Venus does not care anymore to her surrounding. She did not noticed him at all.

In an instant, Venus ran to her car and drove it where the abductors told where her mother was being held leaving behind Xander. Flabbergasted at first, but Xander felt that the situation was serious. So without any second thought, he run after her not caring with other visitors and to the birthday celebrant. They also notice the situation so they didn't mind.

"Venus!!!" he tried to call out her name but Venus didn't seems to hear. Not left with a choice, he also got to his car and chased after her. He's trying to call through phone but Venus's line is busy. Seeing that the black sports car roaring at an unbelievable speed, he also stepped on the gas pedal of his car and chase after her.

His phone never rest on calling Venus. The line was still busy until the operator spoke " the number you have dialed is out of reach as of the moment, please try your call later."

" Fuck " he cussed but he still kept in trying.

On Venus's side, her tears continue to flow. She tried to call back but no one answered. Then suddenly she notice that she has a multimedia message. She hesitated at first but she still opened it and was shocked for what she saw. The kidnappers send a picture of her mother tied on the two poles on each side, her mouth was gagged with a handkerchief and in front of her was a car. The headlights of the car was turned on. In the picture, you will notice that the car was facing her mother. Her mind went blank. She keep muttering to herself like a chant 'please be okay!'.

" Please be okay , please be okay." She repeated that word over and over again until she arrives at the exact location.
