21 Settling The Engagement

At the moment Feng Xi was truly depressed, she did not want to have to get engaged with someone just to get out of another engagement. But this did allow her to get a proper backing which she did not have and ruin the plans Jiang Yi and Feng Lan had in store for her.. Feng Xi let out a long sigh as she closed her eyes and muttered to herself. "Why can't I just be left alone to make billions of yuan!"

"No, Your young miss is just lamenting about her future, do not worry Ru'er." Feng Xi answered Ru'er's question and closed her eyes. She could see her future being very trying indeed.

At the General's Manor, Feng Shun was standing in the main room a little surprised to see Emperor Tian sitting in the main seat. When he first got word that the Emperor had come to visit he did not believe it, but now seeing it with his own eyes he felt that it wasn't real.

All Tt make sure no one could oppose his rights to the throne.

All though he was ruthless, he did not rule China with an iron fist. He was fair and benevolent when it came to ruling China and the Crown Prince, Prince Jin was the son he doted on from a very young age. The son he was most proud of. Whatever he wanted he would give. He was worried that Prince Jin would never find a girl he liked after seeing how many were taken out in body bags each year. But now that he had found a woman that he was dead set on chasing, Emperor Tian hurried over to Feng Manor not wasting a second more.

He had even left a meeting with an ambassador from the X Country to come propose marriage. He did not want his family line to end with his precious son! Emperor Tian seemed to have completely forgotten that there were 7 other sons and one daughter as well.

Tang Shen seemed to have been roughed up a bit because his hair was a mess and his clothes were unkempt.

"Your Majesty! This lowly one is not sure what he has done wrong!" Tang Shen was sweating bullets, he was in the middle of a meeting for an important business deal when all of a sudden the Imperial Guard came rushing into the meeting and dragged him out without even telling him why.

Feng Shun's anger rose and now was grateful that Prince Jin had taken a liking to his eldest daughter or she would have suffered greatly! Emperor Tian looked at Feng Shun's expression and breathed a sigh of relief. He normally did not get involved in his people's family affairs but now it concerned him since his Jin'er was involved.
