The Reaper's Desire

[Mature Content: No rape.] "What do you know about love?" She asked, her lips thinning as his grip tightened around her neck. "What do you know about hate, Sunshine?" He countered, his voice low and laden with intensity. "What do you want from me?" She gasped, her eyes flickering with a mix of fear and defiance. "Everything..." His breath was heavy against her skin as he drew closer, his lips finding hers with a softness that belied the intensity of his words. "I want you, your stubborn soul, your closed heart... I want to be by your side.... wreaking havoc on this miserable world just to have you, my desire." ... Death. An entity as old as time itself, feared and revered in equal measure. Sirius. 'Please don't.' Gwyneth mouthed, deepening Sirius' frown.

Atticus raised his brow, perplexed. He turned to look behind him, but there was no one there. Nonetheless, he could feel a sharp chill of ferocious terror tearing through his veins. It was so intense that he held his breath.

He returned his gaze to Gwyneth. "How about the dance?"

"I am not interested in dancing with you." Gwyneth rubbed her wrist, managing to maintain her composure. It really hurt. And Sirius was even more infuriated by her reaction than he already was.

Atticus shrugged, clearing his throat. "We can leave right now."

"I do not want to leave, either." Gwyneth glared at him, doing her best not to look at Sirius, who had murderous intent dancing in his flaming blood red eyes.

"Do you underestimate me, Your Highness? Everyone in this manor will die," Atticus threatened again.
