Arjun awoke to the sound of Krishna's cheerful voice. "Mornin' sunshine, big day ahead!" Krishna exclaimed, his face lit up with excitement.
Rubbing his eyes, Arjun slowly sat up, still feeling the remnants of his restless night. "Morning," he mumbled, trying to shake off the lingering fatigue.
Krishna grinned and handed him a plate. "Your breakfast is prepared. Eat properly because we have a big day ahead. And I've bought some clothes for you. Change into them after you eat."
Arjun glanced at the clothes Krishna laid out for him. They were traditional yet luxurious, with intricate embroidery and a touch of class that made them stand out. Arjun quickly ate his breakfast, appreciating the warm, hearty meal that seemed to fill him with energy and resolve.
After breakfast, Arjun changed into the new clothes. The fabric was soft against his skin, and the fit was perfect, making him feel both comfortable and confident. He admired himself in the mirror for a moment, noting how the clothes enhanced his appearance.
"Looking good," Krishna said with a nod of approval. "Now, let's head to the GURUKUL."
As they made their way to the GURUKUL, Arjun couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. The anticipation of the selection test was like a tangible presence, making his heart race with every step. When they finally arrived, the sight of the GURUKUL filled Arjun with the same wonder he had felt the previous day. The sprawling complex, with its magical towers and enchanted gardens, seemed even more magnificent in the morning light.
"Wow," Arjun whispered, his eyes wide with awe. He was so engrossed in the view that he didn't notice someone sneaking up behind him.
"BOO!" a voice shouted right next to his ear.
Arjun jumped and spun around to see Bheem, grinning from ear to ear. Behind Bheem stood Nakul, Sahdev, and Yudhisthir, all sharing in the excitement of the day.
"Gotcha!" Bheem said, laughing.
Arjun laughed, the initial shock giving way to amusement. "Good one, Bheem."
"Welcome to the GURUKUL, Arjun. Ready for the selection test?" Nakul asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be," Arjun replied, feeling a bit more at ease now.
Just then, a figure pushed Nakul out of the way. It was Dushasana, the second prince of Hastinapur, who sneered at Nakul. "How dare you come in my way!" he exclaimed.
Bheem's face turned red with anger, and he stepped forward, ready to confront Dushasana. Krishna quickly grabbed Bheem's arm, holding him back with surprising strength.
"Calm down, Bheem," Krishna said softly but firmly. Bheem resisted for a moment but then relaxed, understanding Krishna's restraint.
A loud announcement echoed through the courtyard, calling all participants to proceed to the exam hall. The group moved with the crowd, entering a large hall that resembled a grand classroom. At the center stood an old figure with a muscular build and a flowing white beard, exuding an aura of authority.
"Greetings, students," the man announced. "I am the headmaster of this GURUKUL, the name's Drona. As you all must be aware, the test procedure starts with a written exam. Those who score more than 70 out of 100 will proceed to the mystery test. Does everyone understand?"
A loud roar of "Yes!" reverberated through the hall.
"Then let the test begin," Guru Drona exclaimed.
Arjun's palms were sweating as he sat down, but he gradually calmed as he began answering the questions. His photographic memory proved invaluable, and he quickly found his rhythm. Krishna, Nakul, Sahdev, and Yudhisthir seemed calm and focused, while Bheem was visibly struggling.
Halfway through the exam, Arjun finished and noticed Bheem pulling his hair out in frustration. Quietly, Arjun slid his completed answer sheet over to Bheem, who looked up in surprise. With a grateful nod, Bheem copied the answers.
The test concluded, and everyone gathered outside to check their results, which were magically tallied instantly. The leaderboard displayed the rankings, with nearly a third of the class failing. As the names scrolled up, Arjun held his breath.
Bheem passed, albeit barely, ranking near the bottom. Nakul, Sahdev, and Yudhisthir performed well, landing in the top twenty. Duryodhana and Dushasana smirked as their name appeared high on the list.
The crowd gasped when the first rank was revealed: Arjun. He stared at the leaderboard in shock.
"Congratulations, Arjun!" Krishna exclaimed, clapping him on the back. The others joined in, their faces beaming with pride.
Arjun noticed whispers spreading through the crowd. "Isn't he that boy who wasn't registered and got MAHARAJA level 5? Could he be a spy?"
Ignoring the murmurs, Arjun focused on the announcement that followed. "All students can rest and have their food in the cafeteria within the next hour. The mystery test will begin shortly after!"
