The Reality Game
As an ordinary college sophomore student, Alec Norman always focused on making sure he get good grades to graduate in flying colours. While Alec's school project demanded that he bought a Virtual Reality headset, he stumbled on a pawn shop and met an old man who gifted him a retro VR headset, a headset which he accepted begrudgingly. What he didn't know was that the VR headset he brought to his home would change the way he understood reality forever. Inspired from the novel 48 Hours a Day!
That Vulnerable Feeling
Break Time, Cafeteria.
The day's lunch was much pleasant. Alec took his plate that contained an Italian-styled spaghetti and thanked the food server sincerely, to which he smiled and nodded. Alec then grabbed a soft drink and a straw and added one lap of meat.
With his food satisfactorily complete, he headed to his usual table. Wherever he walked, the place would become silent, but Alec wasn't bothered. Just as he was about to make a turn, someone suddenly popped into his peripheral vision. Without warning, someone bumped at him, almost causing him to drop his tray.
His swift instinct kicked in. Just as the shoulder was about to hit him, he suddenly retreated, causing Eric's eyes to open wide. Alec made a smooth 360 turn, putting him out of the collision.
Eric didn't prepare that this would happen, and now he was on a collision course to the floor. He grabbed the nearest table and held it, drastically slowing down his fall.
