As an ordinary college sophomore student, Alec Norman always focused on making sure he get good grades to graduate in flying colours. While Alec's school project demanded that he bought a Virtual Reality headset, he stumbled on a pawn shop and met an old man who gifted him a retro VR headset, a headset which he accepted begrudgingly. Richard, the pharmacist, suddenly regretted ever encountering Alec. One time, he thought of him as a young, cool-hearted man, but now, he thought of him as a cold-hearted monster. With reluctance, he treated Anthony's wound. As soon as he was done, he made Anthony lie on the bed.
"Sir, the condition of this middle-aged man is a severe case of emotional damage, I cannot treat him. He needs to be taken to a psychiatric hospital. His wounds, I can fix, but the treatment would not be complete if you leave him in this state", Richard diagnosed, finally taking a seat after standing for too long. He had no idea where Alec found these people.
"You did well", Alec simply said and counted a few dollar bills before handing it to him. Did well? It was already past dinner, and this was the second time he missed eating with his family. The only thing he would say was that he did good?
