Academy days (3)

Sunny soon arrived at the class he was suppose to be taking, but there was no one there. The class was empty, so naturally sunny came to the conclusion that he must be early. The other students might still be on their way here, talking with their freinds or something of the sort.

Sunny took a seat near the front and waited, soon after a man of around about 50 had entered the room. He held himself with a scholary pride, and strided toward the front. He must be the proffessor sunny thought to himself.

The man settled in the front, and began to start his lesson which startled sunny because he thought they were atleast going to wait for the other students to get here. Prompted by this sunny raised his hand to ask a question.

"Arent we going to wait for the others to arrive?" a look of confusion strewn across his face.

Julius let out a short stifled laugh before returning to his usual demeaner, "your the only student sunless!, all the other kids arent intrested in how to survive only how to fight. Honestly thoe barbarians". Julius sighed as he finished what he was saying.

The revelation of this fact wasnt all too shocking to sunny hr knew that theywerre still kids which meant that they were naive and only wanted to know how to fight, when in actuality the main cause for death in the drealm realm would most likely be their surroundings.

The very nature of the dream realm was unpredictable, which meant that one had to become adept at surviving in a multitude of different situations. Which could only be learnt in the wilderness survival class sunny was currently in.

the lesson soon began and the professor who sunny later learned was called Julius an Awakened, began to teach sunny about many forms of navigation within the dream realm. He spoke about using the stars as a makeshift compass and that while not all regions have had the stars documented, if he was to be dropped in one that had hed be able to identify which one he wasin and head toward the nearest citadel using one.

He also gave sunny some information about citadels and how saints ruled over them, referring to them as osme of the safest places within the dream realm.

When the lesson came to an end sunny took off to the cafeteria to try and process what he had just learnt, Alan helped him in that area by filling in the little bits of information he could without his flaw acting on him.

Sunny eventually reached the cafeteria though he had a pounding headache. He went in and took a tray which he began to stuff and overflow with food like he normally did, taking it away he sat wioth the blind girl yet again.

The two were eating peacefully until she decided to strike up some small talk which sunny answered peacefully while still stuffing himself, Dinner was about to end when a certain tall girl came over to sunny and cassie.

Sunny gave her a look of acknowledgement before continuing to stuff himself.

"How gluttonous" Alan remarked with a sharp smirk on his non existant face.

'shut it ''mind man'' ' sunny mentally snarled at him, feeling satisfied with his creative nickname for Alan.

"Just saying your stuffing yourself like a pig while a good looking girl is looking at you" Alan spat which caused sunny to blush slightly, not so much but enough to be able to tell he was embarrassed by his actions.

The Nephis spoke up, "Im Nephis" in her usual dry voice devoid of any emotion.

"Nephis? as in the ranked one Nephis" Cassie spoke excitedly.

"hmm" she replied.

"How dry of her" Alan remarked.

'oi can it' 

Nephis then gave sunny a small glare which he took as his sign to leave he didnt really want to interupt the two, by the look of it Nephis had caught on to her flaw and supposed Sacred aspect from the rankings.

So it was natural she wanted to work with her.

As sunny was taking his leave he heard a small voice call out his name, it was cassie.

"Yeah cassie what you need?" Sunny asked trying to make this quick so he could escape.

"Neph wants us to be a cohort in the dream realm". she replied with excitement written all over her face. Sunnys eyebrow flew up in a shocked expression whilst looking toward the white haired girl to see if this was the truth, to which she nodded in agreement.

"alright, see you later then" suuny replied nonchalantlty, he was origionally going to decline tyhis offer but Alan suggested otherwise. Though alan may be annoying at times he was usefull so sunny trusted his suggestion, like he had many a time before hand.

Sunny took this small opurtuity to finally escape the hall and make his way back to the dorms.

He entered with a loud click of the door, his feet making light taps on the floor as he made his way to his bed and took a seat before eventually maneuvering himself into a led down positiom before he eventuallt fell into a slumber.#

3 weeks had passed and it was now approaching the winter solstice, and sunnys birthday.

As per his usual routine sunny got up and went to class the to the cafeteria and eventually to teacher Julius's calssroom, where he gave his final goodbyes to the man.

As he left Julius gavce him a few last tips and pointers for the eventual journey to the dream realm.

Soon he found himself gathered infront of the medical centre, where nephis and cassie stood staring into the crowd of people all groggy and barely able to walk. 

The trio made their way into the crowd where they were eventually met with Awakened Rock who began to show them around the place, Taking them on a final tour of the place. Sunny took note of all things within the centre, the incredibly advanced medical equipment the clean and pristine marble walls which shone with an iridescent light.

A macabre of emotions over came sunny, he was nervous but at the same time excited, sad yet happy. His head was all over the place.

Rock guided them throughout the hospital before arriving at a certain room, inside it bore hundreds of people all sat on wheelchairs they looked alive but at the same time not as if they had their souls ripped from their still living bodys.

The bodys sat there unmoving with cold looks in their eyes.

Rock spoke up, he told them how they where the hollows and that if the students present failed to survive in the dream realm they would becom the same as them, unable to move with no hint of their origionallity left.

Sunny gave them a sombre look before turning away, the only one who didnt have a sort of scared look on their face was Nephis and Cassie. Nephis because she most likely didnt care, and cassie because she couldnt see them.

Rock eventually took the students away from the Hollow care room and to one of the lowest lebvels in the building. surprisingly it wasnt all too cold in there, it had a soft warmth to the place as medical machinery hummed and nurses and doctors swiftly moved along the halls.

The Awakened then lead the group through a door into a room which was rather grand in size with sleeping pods decorating the space.

Rock then instructed the group to get into sleeping pods and wait for the spell to take full hold over them. and just as instructed they did so, many fell asleep instantly while others took a while to succumb to the spells magnitude.

Sunny fell asleep and he soon found himself falling.

Wait falling/

"Brace yourself" Alan shouted, as the two crashed into the water beneath them.
