Born of the wastelands, Spheris Arnadel, a young skilled thief, finds himself subject to a twist of fate when he steals a powerful relic and becomes a Bearer — humans gifted with powers from the Gods. As a punishment for his theft, he is cast into an otherworldly realm alongside other Bearers, where he faces off against monstrous beasts and powerful enemies. Yet, in his determination to return to the Continent and save his dying mother, Spheris is hell-bent on surviving the abyssal world. Even if it means giving his body to the Dark God whose powers he had stolen... even if it means losing all of his humanity.
Spheris had finished the push-ups with ease, not even dropping a sweat along the way. An Adept body came with its benefits, and stronger bones and muscles were one of them.
However, the Bloodsport had ordered him to do fifty more and fifty more after that. And after that, another fifty to wrap up the warm up. Spheris began to feel the strains and aches all over his chest and biceps after he was done with two hundred pushups.
Then, Perichan began. The first thing he started on was the fighting stance. It seemed sometimes redundant to the fight itself, but the stance someone takes when preparing to battle acted as a balance before the storm itself.
Perichan had said; "Your fighting stance is your foundation. With a proper stance, energy will course through your body seamlessly as your mind registers that this is the pose you take when it's time to battle. Not only that, it makes you look prepared, and can even intimidate your opponent."
