• Spheris's Promises

'What are you doing, Spheris?'

"What?" Spheris blinked his eyes open and saw that he was in a space coated with darkness. He pulled himself to his feet, and looked around.

It was pitch black. Everywhere. And he couldn't even feel his surroundings with [Perception].

'Do you remember your promise?' the voice said again.

Spheris frowned, shifting his gaze around the obscurity. "What promise?"

'Your silent oath. You whisper it every night before you sleep. Do you remember?'

Now Spheris was getting a little confused and worried. The voice speaking to him sounded nothing like Obsidian, and this lightless void did not feel like the fake afterlife. Where was this? Who was that?

His voice did not sound too unfamiliar, there was something about it that was recognizable, and as Spheris walked deeper into the dark void, he began to suspect who it could be.
