The frozen time suddenly shattered and Spheris's feet touched the surface. But it was not just the sole of his cascadean boots that hit the black earth, following it was a billow of the shaded energy, striking the ground as well.

The impact was cataclysmic, shattering! A swirling vortex of Umbrage was unleashed and erupted outwards like a circular cascade of power. The Grimms were hurled back with relentless force, some of them hit hard on the other hills, and the rest just collided with one another.

While Cerene and Linne watched with shocked expression on both their faces, Spheris raised his gaze at the shell-shocked multitude of Grimms.

'I've created enough battle space for myself with just that jump.' He looked down at the damaged ground below his feet. 'I have to be more careful next time. I almost shattered right through the earth.'

The Grimms gnarled and snarled at him, now regaining their poise and remembering how hungry they were.
