• A Battle Of Fire And Shadow (3)

A body basked in shadows and another basked in flames collided against each other. Their hands were locked, eyes glaring into each other's as they engaged in a display of strength.

Thorin's [Blazing Effect] should have engulfed Spheris in flames but [Nightfall Mantle]'s defensive cloak made him impenetrable.

"Avira was right about one thing!" Thorin roared. "Working together was a waste of time, there can only be one winner!"

The darkness returned to Spheris's eyes. "You had no problem working together up until now! How self serving can you be?"

"Me? What is the difference between what I do now and what you did?"

Spheris's brows furrowed. "I led the men who were going to kill me to their own deaths. You abandoned your friends to die. And for an asinine reason nonetheless." He cocked his head. "Do you really believe us to be the same?"

With an explosion, they both went separate ways. [Nightfall's Mantle] dissipated and so did [Blazing Effect].
